Forgot to mention I'm flying United.
I have a 1 hour layover at ORD and I'm flying on to Mexico. I'm not worried about making the connecting flight but do you think my checked bag will make it. Is 1 hour enough time for my bag to make it onto the connecting flight to Mexico.
Where are you flying into ORD from? What airlines are you flying?
Midweek, early morning connection between concourse C and concourse F with 44 minutes between scheduled arrival (5:20am) and departure (6:04am). Is this enough time to walk between the concourses?
Yes, that is enough time. It shouldn't take more than 10 minutes, especially with the fairly empty terminal that early in the morning.
Also, you won't know your exact gates until the day of your flight.
Hi! We have flight at 5:15am tomorrow and we need to see an agent to get boarding pass because they need to scan our passport. Will we have enough time to get through id check and security? I was told they don't open until 4am?!
What airline are you flying?
You should have enough time as long as you are there waiting when the counter opens at 4.
Hi, I bought two tickets, one is from Cleveland to Chicago by United airlines and the other is from Chicago to Beijing by Hainan airlines. Can I checked in Cleveland without picking up my baggage in Chicago and recheck again? If I need to recheck again, one is in terminal 1 and the other is in terminal 5. Which is the fastest route for me to make the transfer? What is the fastest time then? Is 3 hours enough? Thanks!
No, you have to claim your bags from United in Terminal 1, take them on the ATS Train to Terminal 5, re-check them with Hainan and go through security. 3 hours should be enough time.
Thank you so much for your reply! I just hope my first flight will not delay!
I am going to Indianapolis from Mumbai via Abudhabi and O`Hare Chicago. Do i need to collect my bags and drop again for domestic flight? i will land in terminal 5 & have to go to T3 after immigration, baggage collection security check .is it doable in 3 hrs?
You will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Abu Dhabi. If all flights are on the same reservation you just have to take the ATS Train from T5 to T3 and go through security in Chicago. You have plenty of time.
Thanks for your prompt reply. am a lady of 65 yrs old and am stravelling alone so was under bit tension. your reply relieved my tension. thanks.
I'm going to fly from Dayton, OH to Hochiminh City Vietnam in Jan 1, 2017. I'm planning to get 2 separate tickets, 1 from DAY to ORD, and 1 form ORD to SGN. There is 3.5 hours between these flights. I know that I have to re-checkin for the second flights. I have 4 luggage. Is it enough time to carry the luggage and check in? Thank you.
Yes, that should be enough time.
Hi, I've got a 50 min layover from Montreal to Portland via Chicago. Flying to ORD with EXPRESSJET (doing business as UNITED EXPRESS) and to PDX with UNITED. (So I assume going from terminal 2 to T1. Is that enough (considering I assume I'll have to go through immigration)?
You will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Montreal. All you have to do in Chicago is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.
I am fly with United Air from Toronto to Beijing via ORD, I only have 50 minutes ,is it enough time to make my connection?

Yes, that is enough time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. You just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate in Chicago.
We are flying into ORD, December 19th from SFO, arriving ORD at 14:33 in Terminal 1. Our connecting flight to Dublin is in Terminal 5 on Aer Lingus at 16:00. That gives us one hour and 30 minutes to make the connection. Is this doable? Our baggage will be checked so we will not have anything with us other than a back pack. Is there Pre TSA check at Terminal 5?
Yes, that should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. No, there is no Pre-Check in T5 and Aer Lingus isn't a pre-check participant anyway.
