Hi there,
I am looking at a flight from Fargo, ND to Knoxville, TN with a 30 minute connection time in Chicago....

Is that even enough time to get off the plane and find the next gate?

Would it be in same terminal?? We will only have carry on luggage, so no checked bags to worry about.
If the flight out of Fargo is delayed (as can happen due to weather) what would happen if we miss the connection?

Any help is appreciated...
Thank you
What airline are you flying?
Hey, I will taking a flight tomorrow from Toronto to Houston, they problem is that usually flights are delayed due to bad weather and based on what happened today I will have 10-15 min to make it from Terminal 3 G13 to L6A. Do you think I can make it? If not I will probably try taking a different flight from Toronto.
It's possible. What happened today has no bearing on what will happen tomorrow. It is only a 5-10 minute walk.
Hi I'm travelling with a checked bag from Toronto to Chicago to Tokyo. At O'hare i have 1h 41min. is that enough time to go from terminal 5 to 3. i will need to claim by bag? flight american 2334 to Chicago and then Japan airline JAL 9 to Tokyo
Thank you!
No flights from Toronto arrive in Terminal 5. Both flights will be in Terminal 3. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. You have enough time.
I will be traveling on Jan 1st from Monterrey Mexico to Greenville SC, with connection in Chicago with 1 hr and 25 min.. Do you think is enough time? the flight form Monterrey will arrive around 4:30pm
With checked bags that's definitely not enough time. Without checked bags it will be very difficult. What airlines are you flying?
with United airlines.
I am traveling with a checked bag from Phoenix to Chicago to Dublin. At O'Hare do I need to claim my bag and go thru security again or can I check my bag all the way through? All the flights are on one ticket.
What airlines are you flying?
We have a connecting flight fron San Diego to Heathrow in o'hare. It is an AA flight to Chicago then British airways to London. Will we have to collect our luggage at Chicago and recheck? Also we land at 15.45 and take off at 17.30 is that enough time to change from terminal 3 to 5?
If both flights are on the same reservation you will not have to do anything with your bags in Chicago on the way to London. Yes, that is enough time to change terminals.
Hi, I am booking flights for my client, who wishes to fly from LHR via ORD to SLC, the connection time in Chicago is 1h28 mins, is it enough to go through immigration, claim luggage and re-check in?
Thank you.
No, that is not enough time with checked baggage. In fact it would be quite difficult even without checked baggage.
Hi, I will be flying from Colorado Springs to Frankfurt via Chicago ORD. I wiould like to know if once I check in my luggage in COlorado Springs I should claim my luggage in ORD and check in again. I fly United Airlines from COlorado to Chicago and Lufthansa from Chicago to Frankfurt. I also have to change the terminal from 2 to 1. Thank you in advance for your support.
Hi again, I forgot to mention that II will have only 1 hour and 20 minutes for connecting flights. Do you think it is enough time for connecting to the Lufthansa flight to Frankfurt? Thank you!
There is no US Customs when leaving the US. If all flights are on the same reservation all you have to do in Chicago is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.
Thank you very much for your qick reply!
I am traveling on 7 th Jan from DSM on AA3274 reaching ORD only at 5:23pm. My Emirates flight EK236 leaves at 7:40pm. I have to collect checked in bags, change terminals and recheck in bags. Whether 2 hours and 15 min sufficient for this transfer?
That will be very difficult, bordering on impossible.
Flying from Puerto Vallarta to Winnipeg via Chicago. Is 1 hour 56 minutes enough time to change terminals and do we have to clear customs/immigration in Chicago? We have always flown direct before.
Yes, that should be enough time. In Chicago you will arrive in Terminal 5, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, take the ATS Train to your departure terminal and go through security. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
