I am traveling from SFO to Frankfurt through ORD. How long to I need to make that transfer from domestic to international. And do I have to retrieve luggage and recheck in international?
If both tickets are on the same reservation then all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You don't need to do anything with your baggage and there is no US Customs when leaving the US. As little as 45 minutes to an hour is doable.
Hi - i have booked a tikcet from mumbai to roanoke with united airways, the lay over time of 90 minutes, is this time good enough from immigration and connection to the another flight, will i have to check out and check in my baggage
No airlines fly nonstop from Mumbai to Chicago. Please double check your reservation - are you making another stop somewhere else? If so, where?
I have two flights going through ORD booked same ticket, same airline (American Airlines), for this weekend and two weekends from now. The first trip is an arrival at 4:04 PM, departure at 4:45 PM. From what I understand, because these are the same airline they should be the same terminal? Is this possible? Will my luggage make it?

The second trip is a return from abroad, so I'll have to do customs and immigration returning to the US as a US citizen. It's an arrival at 10:35 AM, departure at 12:20 PM. The last time I went through customs it didn't take too terribly long. Is this possible at ORD?

I'm a nervous traveler but these are the cheapest tickets I could get.
The first trip should be fine as long as the first flight is on-time. The second connection is a little more difficult but should be possible. Where are you flying from and to?
Heathrow. I will have carry on only.
OK, carry-on only should help. There's a thing in T5 caled "onestop" where if you don't have checked baggage you can take care of immigration and customs with one step, then proceed directly to T3 on the ATS Train.
We are travelling with an Indian passport from Columbus, OH to Toronto, Canada connecting through Chicago and the connection time is 52 mins. Flights are operated by United Airlines / United Express. Will that be enough time for us to go from Terminal 1- C8 to Terminal 2 - E12 and do we need to go through the security check again.
No, you don't have to go through security again. There is a walkway.

Is that enough time for us to go from Terminal 1 to Terminal and do we need to go through the security check again.
Yes, that is enough time. Terminal 1 and 2 are connected inside security by a walkway. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate - you don't have to go through security.
I have a friend taking international flight at terminal 5 and about 35 minutes after her flight I have a flight leaving at terminal 2. I'm wondering if I can go into terminal 5 with my friend and then from there to term 2. Thanks
No, you cannot go through security in Terminal 5 and you cannot get through security in T2 in 35 minutes. You'll need to part ways when you get to the airport.
Thanks. This is really helpful
I have a 2h 41mins connection through ORD. I arrive with an international BA flight and departing with a domestic AA flight, do you think that's enough time?
Yes, that should be enough time. You will arrive in Terminal 5, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, take the ATS Train to Terminal 3 and go through security and to your departure gate.
I am flying from Vancouver to Atlanta via Chicago. Both flights are with United. Will I go through customs in Chicago and will my luggage be directly transferred from one plane to the other between my flights?
You will preclear US immigration and customs in Vancouver. All you have to do in Chicago is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
I am a US citizen arriving on a united flight from Frankfurt (terminal 5) and will have to make a connecting domestic flight at terminal 1. The connection time is 1 hour and 55 minutes. I do have Global Entry. Will this be enough time to make the connection?
With Global Entry, yes, you should be able to make that.
My flight arrives at O'Hare at 6:40pm from LGA, and my connecting flight leaves at 7:15pm to BZM the same day. Both flights are through united airlines. . .Do I have even the slightest chance of making that flight. What are the chances my bags won't make the connecting flight either.
do you mean BZN (Bozeman, Montana)? Yes, you can make this connection if the flight from LGA is on-time. All United gatees at ORD are connected inside security and you just have to walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. Obviously if your flight is delayed you'll likely be stuck in Chicago overnight.
Yep Bozeman sorry bout the typo. thank you for your input, worst comes to worst I stay the night and get the next one, it wouldn't be the first time I have had to do that. Atleast I can now take solace in the fact there is a chance cuz I was a knucklehead booking this flight.
