We are traveling from Omaha to Dublin/Edinburgh on June 7th with the international portion of the Aer Lingus flight departing from O'Hare. It looks as though we have 2 hrs and 50 minutes to get from one gate to the other. I think we are arriving at Terminal 3 and departing from Terminal 5. Will we have enough time and will we have to go through security again?

That should be just enough time if your flight from Omaha is on-time. You will have to go through security again.

Hi, I am travelling with separate tickets from Minneapolis (MSP) to Chicago (ORD) and will land in Terminal 1 via United Airlines @ 11:35AM, then I have to go to Terminal 5 for a flight @ 2:50PM on China Eastern Airlines. So that is 3 Hours and 15 Minutes, will that be enough time to transport through terminals and go through security?

That should be just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

I'm travelling in a couple of months from Mexico CIty to Green Bay. I only have 1 hour 35 minutes for connecting the flights. Is that enough time?

I'm traveling with United Airlines (MEX-ORD-GRB)

If the security situation isn't resolved by then that will be very difficult if not impossible. However, it is technically a legal connection.

And if I have the Global Entry?

With global entry you might have a chance.

Hi I am flying in with United 4260, landing 07,55 pm (terminal 1) and leaving with SAS Flight 946 (terminal 5) at 09.05 pm. Do I have enough time?

That will be very very difficult

    Impossible, or very very difficult?

I won't say it's impossible. But security at ORD is a mess right now.

Changed to an earlier flight. Time from arrival gate through security: 1h 15m. United would not check my luggage through to final destination, which cost me 15-20 min. I would say doable, though no room for delays or airline personell with a no can do attitude.. Thanks fot the feedback, glad I changed my flight.

I have a flight arriving from South Korea on the Sunday evening before memorial day at around 7:20pm. I have a 1.5 hour layover before my next flight to a domestic location. Is it possible for my partner and I to clear customs and make the the final domestic flight on time?

It's possible but it's really cutting it close.

I have a Lufthansa flight from MCI to ORD with a 1 hour layover before my Lufthansa flight to Germany. It was reduced from 1.5 hours. Will I have enough time?

Your first flight will be operated by United. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You should have enough time.

    Thanks!

We will be arriving in ORD with United at 7:45 p.m. and our connecting flight leaves with Lufthansa at 9:20 p.m. That's only 1h20min. time to get from one gate to the next - including the possibility of having to go through customs etc... Will that be enough time?

Sorry we're flying in to ORD from Seattle are flying to Munich

There is no US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both in Terminal 1. You have enough time.

Hi, I am traveling from Denver to Rovaniemi Finland on the 13th of June. Something that worries me is that my flight from denver (american airlines) lands in chicago at 8:46 pm and only gives me an hour and 24 minutes to get to my connecting flight to helsinki which is operated by finnair. I know im going to have to go through security and such so I was wondering if I had enough time to make it to my next flight with lines being bad this summer. If its not, what should I do?

You can make it if the flight from Denver is on-time. The Finnair flight leaves Terminal 5 after the bulk of transatlantic departures departs so the lines shouldn't be too bad. If you do miss your connection you will probably be stuck in Chicago until the morning as the Finnair flight is one of the last transatlantic flights that evening. You will be probably put on the morning AA flight to London and then booked onwards to Finland.

Is 44 minutes enough time to make the connection in Chicago? Flying United with no checked bags.

Yes, all you have to do in ORD is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both likely in Terminal 1.
