Help with conexionsAug 13, 201210I am from Brazil, and my son, who is 17 years old and is going to the USA for a one year exchange student program, he doesn't speak English very well, and will be on his own. He will be arriving with United Airlines flight UA 0844, from São Paulo and has a conexion to flight UA 5995, to Akron - OH. Could you please tell me how he will have to proceed in the airport, because I saw it is a enourmous airport and I am afraid he looses his conexion by getting a little lost. Thank you already.MARYposted on Sun, Aug 121. Your son will arrive at ORD at Terminal 5, where he needs to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag where indicated (the baggage tags should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes), then proceed up one level to the Airport Transit System (ATS) station and take the freeATS train, running every few minutes, to his connecting domestic terminal - United uses Terminals 1 (Concourses B & C with gates B1-22 & C1-31) and Terminal 2 (Concourses E & F with gates E1-15, & F1-14). His ticket should indicate terminal or gate number, and he should, on arrival, look at the overhead screen showing his connecting flight and gate number. Estimated time from arrival to departure gate: 1.5 hrs at most. Open www.ifly.com/ord and click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS; then scroll down past the terminal map to the detailed text. I wish him a great stay at Ohio!moaug12posted on Mon, Aug 13
