I'm travelling on Sunday Morning 8/27 from CLE to ORD and have a 52 minute layover without checked luggage then flying to YYC. Is this enough time to get through customs and make my connection?
I would be arriving from AMMAN. Should I re-check my bags at ohare terminal 5 to catch AA Plane for San Diego
If your bags are tagged through to San Diego then you can re-check them at the re-check desk in T5. If they are not tagged to San Diego, you have to take them on the ATS Train to T3 and check them at the AA check-in desk.
Thank you so much. Please: 1) Is there a re-check desk in T5 for AA?
2) Is it normal to tag my bags in AMMAN through to San Diego?
Departing O'Hare at 12:32pm on Sunday (7/9/17) and flying United (I believe Terminal 3?) to MSP with only a carry-on. Will be taking the Blue Line from Clark/Lake..... How much time should I give myself?
United uses Terminal 1. It takes about 50-60 minutes to reach the terminal from the Loop on the Blue Line. I recommend you be there 90 minutes minimum before your flight, so you need to leave the loop by about 10 AM. Keep in mind that the trains also run less often on Sunday mornings.
Yeah I don't have a confirmed Terminal number online for my departure ticket yet, so thank you for clearing that up! Good looking out on there being less trains on Sunday morning too! Thanks!!
Arriving from Poland on Sept 28th at O'Hare @7:35 pm...need to catch 9:35 pm flight back to Detroit via American Airlines- is this enough time to get to departure gate . which terminal would we be using for departure ? Thank you
You will arrive in Terminal 5 and depart from Terminal 3. That's barely enough time if everything goes perfectly.
Hello, I am flying from LHR to YYZ via ORD and have a 90 minute connection. I have a british passport and my wife has an indian passport with a B1/B2 US visa. Is this enough time between flights? and what happens if we miss our connecting flight?
That is just enough time if everything goes perfectly. If both flights are on the same reservation and you miss your connection you will be put on the next available flight on that airline to Toronto.
Flying from Montreal YUL to ORD or EWR for connecting flight to LAX in Sept. I cannot climb stairs so I will need wheelchair assistance to get between terminals at ORD or EWR. Have read horrors about UA stranding passengers with disabilities at both airports.Recommendations for which airport UA has a better record for getting people with disabilites between terminals.
At ORD there is no stairs you would have to navigate. So maybe you could do it yourself there.
arriving from iceland and have two hours between my arrival there and to my next destination, is this enough time to claim my baggage and get through customs?
What airlines are you flying? Is it two separate reservations or one reservation?
I am a US citizen traveling from Toronto on Air Canada with a final destination of St. Louis (via United). Is a 45 minute layover in ORD likely to be sufficient to get to my connecting flight?
Yes, that is enough time if everything goes smoothly. You will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Toronto. All you have to do in Chicago is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
I am coming from Amman, Jordan, arriving at ORD at 4pm on Friday, June 30. I will then fly to Phoenix. Am I right that I will have to go through customs, get my baggage, change terminals, clear security again and check in again? What is a safe amount of time to leave between my flights?
I would want at least 3 hours between flights. You have the procedure correct.
Flying domestic with United. Not checking a bag just have a back pack . Do we have to wait in the line where people wait to check there bags or do we just go straight to security?
You can go straight to security if you check in online or get your boarding pass from one of the "No Checked bags" check in kiosks located along the entry wall.
