Connecting flightJun 11, 201210I will be arriving in ORD Terminal 5 from Hongkong and I am a non-US resident how do I transport my buggage to terminal 3 where I will taking American Airlines to go to anoher State. HELP!!! I don't want to miss my connecting flight.MTVposted on Mon, Jun 111. Your first priority will be to find out if your Hongkong departing airline will transfer bags to American airline gate - if not you will need to take your bag from T5 to T3 and check it in with American Airlines. 2. As an international arrival at ORD, ALL passengers need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes). 3. After exiting Federal Inspection and luggage re-check areas, proceed up one level to the Airport Transit System and take the free ATS shuttle train to Terminal 3, which runs every few minutes. 3. Terminal 3 has Concourses G, H, K & L with corresponding gates - the overhead screen will indicate your flight number and gate - follow signs.
