We are a family of 6 flying out of O'hare on a friday in January. Flight is American 2;55pm departure. How early do I have to get there usually if I need to check 6 bags? Is 1:30 early enough? I'm asking beacsue our timing is very tight.
1:30 should be early enough but doesn't leave a whole lot of time to spare, especially if it's MLK day weekend.
I am flying to Ireland at 4pm on Sat Nov 26. Due to the holiday weekend should I arrive earlier than 1pm?
There's no need for that. The International Terminal won't be any more busy than normal.
My flight leaves at 6am the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. What time should I be at the airport?
Security opens at 3:15. I suggest arriving by 4.
We are flying from Dublin Ireland to terminal 3 O Hare arriving @11.45 with connecting flight to Dallas departing @14.25 also from terminal 3 both flights with American Airlines. Do we need to clear customs or can we just transfer to departures from arrivals. I am assuming that our baggage will transfer directly. Any information please.
You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin. All you have to do in Chicago is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both in Terminal 3. You have plenty of time.

For all those who travel back and forth from the city to the airport, given the current traveling options (Train, Bus, Uber), will you pay $10 for a car service to get from the Water Tower Place to the airport?
How early should I get to OHare for a 7:20pm Thursday flight to London on American with checked luggage? TSA pre
Since you have checked bags, I'd want to be there between 5-5:30 PM just to be safe, even though with precheck security shouldn't take very long.
I am flying United from Tokyo to Toronto with a layover in Chicago (NRT > ORD > YYZ) all on one ticket. I will have 2 checked baggages. Will I be arriving from Terminal 5 and departing at Terminal 1? Will my baggages be delivered to Toronto directly without rechecking them, and will I need to go through US Customs? Thanks!
You will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, take the ATS Train to Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 (check the monitors for your departure gate, if it's E or F get off at T2), then go through security and to your departure gate.
Thanks so much for the details!
Going to London Leaving at 8:30 pm
How early should we arrive.
Party of four, adults
Get there by 6:30
Hi, I am flying from Montreal into O'Hare on Air Canada and have 1.5 hours to get my connecting flight to Tokyo (ANA). Do I enough time? Do I have to go through customs again? I will have 1 checked bag..
Thanks for your help.
You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Montreal. All you have to do in Chicago is walk from your arrival gate in Terminal 2 to your departure gate in Terminal 1. There is a walkway connecting them inside security. You have enough time.
Thank you so much.
7 am united flight to Washington DC. One checked bag. Me and a child, both TSA Pre. Was planning on just before 6. Cutting it too close?
Eh with precheck it's probably fine, but I'd probably get there a little sooner because of the checked bag.
