It continues to work with federal and local safety and security agencies to ensure meeting your needs and expectations.

New security regulations affecting security at CLE Airport became effective following the unprecedented events of September 11, 2001, and it continues to evaluate and enhance those security measures to ensure that the level of security meets and exceeds mandated federal requirements.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is charged with the responsibility of screening all checked baggage. Passengers are advised to arrive 90 minutes prior to their scheduled flight departure time to ensure that they and their bags have enough time to go through the screening process and be transported to the aircraft.

Allow Extra Time for Special Circumstances. During busy periods, or when traveling with young children, infants, elderly or disabled passengers, you should plan to build extra time into your travel plans.

For additional information on average wait-time information, visit the TSA website at http://www.tsa.gov. OR http://www.ifly.com/airport-security/

Cleveland Hopkins CLE Comments

  • continental gave my bag to wrong person

Continental baggage claim told me that my bag was there... I went to airport and they had given it to the wrong person and now refuse to help me. What can i do?

  • lost luggage

My baggage went to Cleveland without me because I got re-routed because of delays. I was assured my bag was going with me. When I reached Pasco, WA, no bag. They say most are returned within 24 hours. I have heard nothing and have no way to talk to a live person. I see there are flights leaving Cleveland to Denver, then to Pasco, so why isn't my bag here yet? Who can I talk to? The tracking number is a recording.
