  • Global entry interview on layover

Hi, I have a lay over in Dallas and had to schedule an Global entry interview while I am there. The only time slot available accounting for a bit of a delay with the interview will leave me an hour to get through security at terminal D. Any advice, will that be enough time to catch my next flight. Thanks in advance.

Yes, that should be plenty of time.

Hi first of all thank you for your help ,,,, I'll arrive to terminal d Dallas dfw by emeratis airlines at 9:05 am then I'll have an international flight at the same terminal d by American airlines to cancun departure at 12:40 pm. Separate ticket is it enough time for connection? I have to pass security stamp my passport (I'm not USA or Europe citizen ) then collecting my bag then check in to next flight then passing through security. Thanks

Yes, that should be enough time. You should be out of customs by 10 AM at the latest, so that still leaves you 2 hrs and 40 minutes to check in for your American flight.

    Thank you very much

Hi! I have a question, Im flying to Paris via Dallas, and l´ll have 1 hour 40 min to get to my 2nd plane. Is it enough time? I´m arriving at terminal D and my Paris plane leave from terminal D

Yes, 1 hr 40 mins should be enough time to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through customs, re-check your bags, and go through security.

Is I need to claim my check in baggage at terminal D of Dallas airport before to go on terminal C.. Pls help me . Thanks

No, you do not have to do anything with your baggage in Dallas. You will pre-clear US Immigration in Toronto. All you have to do in DFW is take the SkyTrain from Terminal D to Terminal C.

I am looking at a flight from Orlando to dallas then to maui with an hour connection with both flights being with American airline. Do I have enough time to get to my plane for the Maui flight?

Yes, that should be enough time. All gates at DFW are connected inside security by the Skylink train

  • Connecting flight in Dallas

Hi I will be flying from Austin to San Francisco via Dallas - all on the same carrier, American Airlines. May i check if i will need to go through customs or go directly to the gate for my connecting flight to SF? Do i need to claim my baggage as well? Thanks for the help!

At DFW, American airlines uses Terminals A & D, American Eagle Terminal B (all with corresponding gates - i.e. gate A-10) Your ticket & overhead screens on arrival will indicate fight & gate numbers. If you need to switch between terminals, I suggest you open www.ifly.com/dfw, then click on 'Terminal Map' under 'QUICK LINKS', and scroll down to the detailed text. Only international arrivals go through customs & re-check-in bags.

Austin, Dallas and San Francisco are all in the United States, why do you think you'd need to go through customs?

  • DFW connecting to AA0232 to Atlanta
    Apr 14, 2014

My parents are flying on QF7 arriving DFW on Tue 22 April at 1.20pm and have to connect for flight to Atlanta on AA0232. (a) I am assuming they have to through Passport Control ? (b) Do they have to pick up their Bags and go through Customs? (c) Do they have enough time to meet their connecting flight to Atlanta? (all flights are on same AA ticket)

Yes, they will go through US Immigration, claim their bags, go through US customs, then re-check their bags. Since you didn't post what time their flight to Atlanta departs I don't know if they will have enough time. But as long as it's over 90 minutes they should be OK.

Sorry, 3.35pm I am checking flight AA0232 today and it is leaving from Terminal A Gate A16 - can one assume that this will be the same next Tuesday?

No, flights use different gates on different days. It could use any gate in Terminals A, C, or D.

  • Is an hour enough time?

American called & said they eliminated one of the flights we had and had to change all our flights - the new flights have us arriving from PVR to DFW at 1640 and then departing DFW to Hobby at 1740. The 1740 departure is now the last DFW to HOU flight. SO my question is - is an hour enough time to get through customs and get from terminal to terminal? Thanks in advance

Anyone know the answer to this? halp please

i have a super long layover in dallas. can i walk around or train around to all the terminals without ever having to exit/re-enter secuity? if this is NOT possible, which terminals involve exiting/re-entering security? thanks!

I suggest you open www.ifly.com/dfw, then click on 'Terminal Map' under 'QUICK LINKS', and scroll down to the detailed text.

All terminals are connected inside security by the SkyLink train. There are no walkways connecting terminals.
