DFW CustomsMay 21, 201310I am picking up passengers tomorrow from Ireland, although they changed planes in JFK. Will they go through customs in NY or here in DFW? If in DFW, where exactly is customs located in DFW (Terminal D..but WHERE?)Rickieposted on Tue, May 21[ Reply ][ Like ]

Transfer Time with Checked BaggageMay 11, 201320Traveling on AA from PHX to FRA via connection in DFW. Can we check our baggage straight thru from PHX, or will we have to pick up our luggage in DFW before going thru customs?HWposted on Sat, May 11You will not have to do anything with your baggage in DFW on the way to Frankfurt - you will just go through customs in Frankfurt. On the way back you will go through immigration in DFW and claim your baggage, go through customs, then re-check it with American.ZAPposted on Sat, May 11

90 min connectionMay 3, 201340I am flying on Delta into DFW from Salt Lake City and connecting to aa BA Flight to London. Delta will not check my bag all the way through. Is 90 minutes enough to collect my bag, change terminals and get to my BA flight?Bljposted on Thu, May 2It will be very tough. Since you will be on the non-secure side of the terminal there's no easy or fast way to get between the terminals. If you could somehow do it without a checked bag you could just take the TerminaLink. However, I think it's very likely you'll miss your connection.ZAPposted on Thu, May 2Sorry, meant SkyLink, not TerminaLink (all these airport trains sound the same)ZAPposted on Thu, May 2Yes, it would be much easier without a checked bag because you would be able to just take the Skylink train between your gates which would only take 15-20 minutes. You'd then have to get your boarding pass from the British Airways gate if you can't check in online.ZAPposted on Fri, May 3

Change over time Qantas QF007 to QF4551Apr 18, 201322Hi, I'm arriving from Sydney with QF007 at 13.45 and am contemplating to connect to QF4551 (Delta flight) to Raleigh at 14.55. I was advised that this combination requires clearing customs and checking out my luggage to then board the next flight - will 70 mins suffice - especially while clearing customs (non US passport)? Any advice is greatly appreciated.CBposted on Thu, Apr 18I doubt that would be enough time as you'd likely have to change terminals too. Also, QF4551 is operated by American, not Delta. American has two later DFW-RDU flights so you could book the one you're suggesting with the knowledge that you can probably be rebooked on one of the later flights if you miss your connection.ZAPposted on Thu, Apr 181 person likes this post [ Like ]1. As an international arrival in the U.S. at DFW, you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag. 2. Your arriving and departing flight numbers indicate that both flights are Qantas flights (Delta probably operating the next leg of your journey). Qantas uses Terminal D, Delta Terminal E (TD, TE) with corresponding gates (i.e., E18). If you need to transfer to TE after baggage re-check, go through security check and take the Skylink train running every 2 mins to your connecting flight. If your connecting flight is with Delta and you need to transfer to to Terminal, you won't have enough time. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/dfw, then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text.thapr13posted on Thu, Apr 181 person likes this post [ Like ]

Mexico to Brisbane, Australia connectionApr 17, 201311I'm travelling from Mexico City on AA658 to Dallas FW then onto Brisbane, Australia on QF008. The flight on the Mexico leg arrives at 2005 and the Qantas flight leaves at 21.55. Will I have time to make the connection through immigration and security?PJB58posted on Wed, Apr 17You arrive & depart from Terminal D of DFW. On arrival, you need to go through passport check, pick up your bags, go through customs clearance, re-check-in your bag (if AA transfer bags to Qantas), go through security check and proceed on to your connecting gate (Terminal D has gates D6-40). NOTE if AA does not transfer your bags, you need, after customs clearance, check in your bag with Qantas. Your time should suffice.weapr13posted on Wed, Apr 171 person likes this post [ Like ]

International arrival and trransferApr 5, 201331Arriving at DFW FROM Madrid in Spain (Europe) with American Airlines and then picking up another flight with A.A to Los Angeles. How do I go thru customs and where do I have to pick up and drop off again my bags.AHposted on Mon, Apr 1Going through immigration is fairly self-explanatory, you'll be funneled through to a bunch of desks, you show your passport to the deck, they look at it and let you though, then you claim your bag at a baggage claim, then you go past a customs desk and hand your customs form to the officer there. Then you drop your bags back with AA at re-check once you exit immigration. Then go upstairs and go through security again, and if necessary, take the skylink train to your gate.ZAPposted on Mon, Apr 11 person likes this post [ Like ]

Connecting from Mexico to San FranciscoMar 26, 201311Recently I have experienced much slower immigration processing at DFW. Current connection has me coming from MEX to SFO via DFW with a 1 hour total connect time until DFW-SFO departure. Given current procedures and time is that enough?Frodoposted on Tue, Mar 26

Tight connection to LondonMar 14, 201341Arrive at DFW from New Orleans and have 1 hour to next flight to London Heathrow. Will this be enough time,do I need to go through Customs again?kensanposted on Wed, Mar 13You do not need to go through customs after a domestic flight, you just have to get from your first flight to your second flight. If your flights are not in the same terminal take Skylink between the terminals.ZAPposted on Wed, Mar 13Many Thanks,do you think 1 hour is enough time?kensanposted on Thu, Mar 141 person likes this post [ Like ]If your first flight is on-time, then yes, 1 hour is sufficientZAPposted on Thu, Mar 14

tight connection time to Buenos AiresMar 7, 201320I'm flying from San Francisco to Buenos Aires and only have a 50 minute connection time at DFW. Is that enough?floaterposted on Mon, Mar 4If your first flight is on-time, yes, it's enough. All terminals at DFW are conveniently connected via the TerminaLink train.ZAPposted on Mon, Mar 4

Tight connection to BZE/Belize flightFeb 27, 201320I'm traveling San Jose, CA to Belize City, all on AA. The connection is 50 minutes, arriving Term A and departing Term D. How difficult is the connection and which is quickest way to get to the gate?JMTposted on Tue, Feb 26At DFW, the free Skylink train runs inside the post-security area of each of the five terminals, starting at the International Terminal D at gates D2, D20, D25 & D34, and connecting to the other terminals by two Skylink stations each (close to the left and right end). It runs every 2 mins and takes about 5 minutes of transfer time on average. At TA it stops between A13-16 & A29-34.wefeb13posted on Wed, Feb 27
