I arrive at DFW at 19.35 from London and my plane for LBB leaves at 21.10. I am a norwegian student and will be returning to the states on J-1 visa after spending the christmas at home. Is this enough time?

It should be enough time. You will arrive in Terminal D, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, then re-check your bags at the transfer desk, then go to the departure level, through security, and take the SkyLink train to your departure terminal/gate.

In March fly into Dallas from Cancun @ 3:52, depart to Denver 5:50. after immigration & customs and recheck luggage will we leave a secured area and have to go thru security again to catch flight to Denver, I believe 2 hours should be fine on time. Appreciate your answers.

Yes, when you exit customs you will be outside the secure area, so you will have to go through security on your way to your departure gate.

I will be coming from Richmond Virginia and with a connection to Orange County, CA (SNA). My connection time is only 40 minutes. Will I make it? Will a checked bag make it? The flight is a month from now. Don't know terminals and gates yet.

That should be enough time, but obviously leaves very little to spare in case of delays.

Is 62 minutes enough time to make my connection from LEX Bluegrass thru DFW to Incheon Seoul, Korea?

Yes, it should be enough time. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Skylink train connects all terminals inside security.

(Jan. 17th, 2015): Frankurt to san Jose, Costa Rica - American Airline #71 arriving in Dallas at 15:05 - departure to San José flight #2442 at 16:15 with only 70 mins connection Time, all Terminal D. Will I make it, what could I to do make it? Thanks Markus

It will be difficult but it's possible. Since you're on an International to International itinerary, you should not have to claim your baggage before going to though customs, but confirm that with the AA agents in FRA and DFW. You will have to hurry.

I am arriving from Tampa at 2:46 pm and departing for New Orleans at 3:26 pm. Is a 40 min connection enough time? A few days later I am then arriving from New Orleans at 7:49am and departing DFW at 8:40am to Albuquerque, is this enough time?

Your first connection is barely enough time and your second connection should be enough time as well. The SkyLink train connects all terminals inside security. Obviously neither connection leaves a whole lot of time to spare in case of delays.

Yes, that is enough time. if you have to change terminals, the SkyLink train connects all terminals inside security.

  • DFW to DSM 3 hr layover

hi so I will be getting to DFW from heathrow at around 5pm December 12 and my next flight to Des Moines leaves at around 8pm (I have a 3hr layover) will that be enough time to get through customs and security and everything without missing my flight to DSM? and also do you sort visa things at customs as well? and would I need to re check my bags at DFW if it's all on American Airlines? thanks

Yes, that will be plenty of time. You will arrive in Terminal D, go through US Immigration (you will need to get your Visa before you depart if you do not hold a passport of a visa waiver country, you will need to complete ESTA if you have a visa-waiver passport), then claim your bags, then go through US Customs, then re-check your bags at the transfer desk. Then you will go up to the departure level and through security, then take the SkyLink train to your departure terminal.

  • PUJ to DFW via MIA Connection

I am flying to DFW from Punta Cana, DR with a connection in Miami. Where will I go through customs. I arrive into DFW at 8.37pm and am getting another flight on a separate ticker at 9.58pm. Both flights are AA, will I have time to make it???

You will go through US Immigration and customs in Miami. You have enough time for your connection in DFW.

Even if it is a separate ticket but with AA as well. Will I need to pick up my bags and re check in?

Show all your AA confirmations to the agent in Punta Cana to have your bags tagged to your final destination. However, when you clear US Immigration in Miami, you will have to claim your bags to go through US Customs, then re-check them at the transfer desk there.

    Thanks for your help, ZAP!

  • 45 min. layover on AA from Aspen departing Bloomington

Is 45 min enough time between a flight arriving from Aspen (ASE) and departing Bloomington, IL (BMI) in June

I at least need to know if the AA flights from Aspen and to Bloomington will be in the same terminal. Thanks!

Both flights should be in Terminal B, but even if they're not the Skylink train connects all terminals inside security and you have enough time even if you have to change terminals.

I will fly from CAE to DFW on AA Flight 2509 and then take AA Flight 0127 to PVG. 2509 will arrive at DFW at 9:45 am ad 0127 will take off at 10:45 am. I have nevered transferred at Dallas before. My major concern is whether the layover is long enough? Will I be able to catch Flight 0127?Will my luggage be able to follow up? thank you

1 hr should be enough time. You will arrive in terminal B and depart from Terminal D. The SkyLink train connects all terminals inside security.

Thank you, ZAP. I just received an email telling me the 0127 flight will leave at 10:30, which shortens my layover to 45 mins. So my question is will 45 mins be enough? Is 45 mins enough for the luggage to be transferred from an domestic plane to an international one? Thanks again, I appreciate your help.

Yes, it's still enough time but it obviously doesn't leave much to spare.

Yes that should be enough time. The skylink train connects all terminals inside security.

    Thanks for the info Zap

  • Domestic to international flight connection time

I want to book a domestic flight connecting to an international flight in Dallas. I do not know the terminals of each. There is only 1 hr 12 mins between arrival and departure. Is that enough time, It is in the morning presumably before delays . Will I have to go through security again because it is an international flight? As this seems to be a once daily flight to PVG, I would be stuck if I missed the connection.

No, you won't have to go through security. The SkyLink train connects all terminals inside security. Your PVG flight will depart from Terminal D.

I'm flying into Dallas tomorrow from Los Angeles, landing at 6pm in terminal A.. My connection flight to ft. Lauderdale leaves at 645, what's the best route to getting to terminal C from terminal A? And is that enough time?

The Skytrain connects all terminals inside security. You have enough time if your first flight is on-time.
