I'm flying thru american airlines at Dfw, do I pick my luggage up to go thru customs to get onto the Mexican flight?

There is no US Customs when leaving the US. If your flight into DFW is domestic then all you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Hello, I am traveling from Shanghai, China on AA into DFW with a 3 hour layover before my flight to JAX (also on AA). My question is, when I go through customs in DFW, while I need to collect my checked bags. I have heard rumours that if I have flights on the same airline, I do NOT need to collect my bags. Can anyone tell me if this is true?

You do have to collect your bags because your second flight is domestic, therefore you are fully entering the US in DFW. Regardless, you have enough time.

I am flying with 2 suitcases that will be checked, will I need to pick up the suitcases, take them through customs and then check them again? If so do they have luggage available for pick up near customs and do they have carts? I might be bringing a carry on suitcase and it would be hard to bring 3 suitcases by myself.

Yes, you will have to take them through US Customs in Dallas and re-check them at the re-check desk right after. There should be baggage carts available in the International baggage claim.

flying from Madrid to DFW for connecting to SAT. Is 1 1/2 hours enough time to get through customs & security?

It's barely enough time if everything goes perfectly.

Arriving on AA at DFW, I have 22 minutes to board AA flight to SAT. Am I kidding myself by thinking I could make it in time?

    I don't think that's enough time

I have 1hr and 25 minutes between flights on AA to Delta, will I have to claim baggage and re-enter security and will that be enough time?

Yes, you will have to claim your bags from American, take a shuttle to Terminal E, re-check them with Delta and go through security. You do not have enough time to make this connection with checked bags. If you do not have checked bags and check-in online then you can just take the Skylink train to Terminal E.

Hi there! I'm connecting next week from SLC thru DFW on the way to Madrid, and I have an hour and five minutes to get to the international terminal. Is this enough time, or will I be running through the airport? Thanks!

Yes, that is enough time. You just have to take the Skylink train from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

    Great, thank you!

I'm coming from Vancouver back to NY through DFW. Is 1 hr 15min enough time to get through customs and catch my connections?

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Vancouver. All you have to do in DFW is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

My family will be coming in from Jamaica and clearing customs in DFW. I will be using mobile passport to get through customs. Will we have enough time make our connecting flight OMA? We are flying American Airlines entire way and have an hour and 35 minute layover

That is just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

I am flying Fort Myers to DFW and have 40 minutes in DFW to make a connecting flight to Vancouver, Canada (YVR). Is this enough time, do I need to go through any additional security or do I simply just go from arrival gate to my departure gate?

All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time if the first flight is on-time but no time to spare if it's not.

We fly AA from Phx to DFW (arrives terminal C)and connect to Tyler TX on American Eagle in terminal B with only 1 hr 15 min layover. Is this enuf time? Nervous flyer

Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate in Terminal A, C, or D to your departure gate in B. The Skylink train connects all terminals and gates inside security.

I am flying into DFW on AA from Rome (Flt. #239) and connecting to an AA flight (Flt. #1216) to Sacramento. Will I remain in the same terminal? If not what terminal will I arrive and what terminal will I depart for Sacramento?

You will arrive in Terminal D, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate which could be in A, C, or D. The Skylink train connects all terminals and gates inside security.
