I will be travelling in Nov from Manhattan, Kansas to Dallas by American Airlines 3413 in Terminal B and have 2 h 50 m layover before catching international flight to Tokyo by Japan Airlines 7011 Operated by American Airlines at terminal 2.Do I have to checked baggage out and check in again ? Is 2h 50 m enough .

DFW does not have a Terminal 2. You will depart from Terminal D. No, you do not have to do anything with your bags in DFW on your way to Tokyo. All you have to do is take the SkyLink train from Terminal B to Terminal D and to your departure gate.

Flying AA cancun to Vancouver with 1 hour 55 minutes between flights in Dallas arrival and departure flights both in Terminal D but I need to collect luggage and clear customs, enough time??

That should be barely enough time. Also note that your Vancouver flight may not use Terminal D as not all flights to Canada use it.

I will be arriving on AA and departing on Emirates. I will have 2hrs 20min to make the connection. I am on 2 tickets, both First class. Is there a private service that can meet me, collect my bags, and speed me to my departure check in? I also have Pre Check Thank you for your help. I am a senior unable to move very fast.

No, there is no private service. If your AA flight is domestic you'll have enough time. It is sort of difficult to get between terminals outside security as the only connection is an infrequent bus.

I am flying from Lubbock to Cancun with a connecting flight in Dallas. The layover time in Dallas is only 45 minutes. Is that enough time for me to make my flight from Dallas to Cancun

I forgot to add I am flying AA for all flights

That's barely enough time assuming the flight from Lubbock is on-time. You will have to take the SkyLink train from Terminal B where you arrive to Terminal D where you depart and hurry.

No, you do not have to go through security. All terminals at DFW are connected inside security by the SkyLink train. You have enough time.

I an traveling Fort Myers to Dubai via DFW, on two tickets. American to DFW and Emirates to Dubai. Will American check my bags through to Dubai? If not, how do I get my bags to Emirates Check in? I have about 2 hours layover. Thanks for any help

No, American won't transfer your bags to Emirates since you bought two separate tickets. You will have to claim your bags in your arrival terminal and then take them to the Emirates check-in desk in Terminal D, then go through security. That will be very difficult to do in 2 hours as the only way to get between terminals outside security is either a long walk or an infrequent shuttle bus.

We're looking at taking AA from Toronto with a connection in DFW before Honolulu. Traveling with an infant (1.5 yr old). Is 1 hr 4 minute layover in DFW enough time? We won't be switching airlines. Thanks!

Yes, that should be enough time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Toronto. All Terminals and gates are connected inside security by the SkyLink train.

Flying in from Columbia MO to DFW arriving at 8:00am with 45 minutes to make a connection to Liberia, Costa Rica. Is that enough time and how do I find out which terminal we arrive from Columbia into DFW (not printed on ticket).

You will arrive in Terminal B and depart from Terminal D. All Terminals are connected inside security by the SkyLink train. You have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

  • London to Vegas via DFW

Hi there, I am considering book a British Airways flight from London Heathrow to Las Vegas, my concern is that the layover time of 2 hours 30 minutes will not be enough time to get through immigration. The connecting flight to Vegas also looks to be with BA, but I am still concerned that I will not have enough time to get through customs and immigration. Can you please advise whether or not 2hrs 30 mins would be sufficient time. Thank you in advance for your help with this matter.

apologies, it would seem that the flight from DFW to Vegas is being operated by American Airlines, thus meaning a change of terminal.

Yes, you should have enough time. You will arrive in Terminal D, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go up to the departure level and go through security then take the SkyLink train to your departure terminal (it probably won't be the same terminal as you arrived in).

Hi, I am travelling from Mumbai to San Diego with a stop at Dallas. I'll be boarding an AA flight to San Diego. The connection time is 3 hrs. Will it be enough time for immigration & customs, considering the fact I'm a foreigner? Any help on this would be really appreciated.

What airline are you flying to DFW on? Are all tickets purchased on the same reservation? It should be enough time.

Hi, All my tickets are booked on British Airways on the same reservation. Thanks!

Then you will have plenty of time. You will arrive in Terminal D, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go up to the departure level and go through security then take the SkyLink train to your departure terminal (it probably won't be the same terminal as you arrived in).

Hi, I have a flight at 7AM to Dallas (arrive at 9:31AM) with a 1 1/2 hr time to connect for flight leaving Dallas (10:50AM) to Maui - - All with American Airlines. Will this give me enough time to connect - do I need to reclaim/recheck baggage? Thanks!

All you have to do in Dallas is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The SkyLink train connects all terminals and gates inside security. You don't have to do anything with your baggage. You have enough time.

  • Minimum transit time from Orlando to Sydney via Dallas

Hi, I will be flying from Orlando to Sydney with a connection at Dallas Fort Worth. Since I cleared customs in Orlando so I will only be changing planes in Dallas, will 1 hr 30 mins be sufficient? Thanks

You in fact won't clear any customs in Orlando. There is no US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do in Dallas is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You should have plenty of time. The SkyLink train connects all terminals inside security. You will depart to Sydney from Terminal D.

Hi i have got my flight booked in dec from sydney to dallas and then after 1.5 hrs to san antonio. Do i have to collect my baggage at dallas and check in again to san antonio? Im flying via american airlines. Is this time enough for catching flight to san antonio. Im with little kids and worried about checkin if luggage again at dallas. Please advice me. Thanks

In Dallas you will arrive, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go up to the departure level and go through security then take the SkyLink train to your departure terminal (it probably won't be the same terminal as you arrived in). You have barely enough time with 90 minutes.

I arrive Dallas from Hong Kong and have 1.2 hours on Wednesday no baggage before domestic flight. Is this enough time for immigration and customs

Please don't ask the same question twice in a row.

What is "1.2 hours"? 1 hour 12 minutes? If so no, that's not enough time.

    1 hour 20 minutes

That's still not enough time. it's 10 minutes shorter than the bare minimum and 40 minutes less than I recommend.
