I will arrive on UA5315 into terminal E and need to connect to EY160 at Terminal D I will have 80 mins connection time. Will I need to exit Terminal E and check in Terminal D or can I transfer terminals on the skylink and pickup my EY ticket internally? Both tickets will be in First class if this makes any difference?
I have a flight next week from Sydney Australia into Dallas terminal D with only 1hr before my connecting flight to Memphis.
my flight back is from Nashville to Dallas then onto Sydney Australia with only a 1 hr landing in Dallas T2 to catch the flight to Sydney . Does my luggage go straight through and will I have enough time ? Thank you Dee
Is it worth paying for American's Five Star Connection service if traveling with 2 year old and 8 month old and needing to change terminals with a one hour connection time.
For a domestic connection, you could probably manage on your own. The Skylink makes it pretty easy.
Thanks! The connecting flight is to Honolulu.
Looking at flying AA into DFW, landing @ 17:49 pm and then a Qantas departure @ 19:55 w/2 kids. Is this enough time?
If the first flight is on-time and domestic that is plenty of time. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Skylink train connects all terminals inside security.
thanks! So 90 minutes is till the time needed for international flights to be in the airport?
You can do a domestic to International connection in less, more like 60
What terminal does Mesa Airlines (flying for American Airlines) use when flying from Columbia Missouri to Dallas Fort Worth?
Likely Terminal B.
we arrive to DFW from Paris, then catch a plane to Phoenix (all American with a 2 hour 40 min layover-fingers crossed). Can we recheck our bags to Phoenix on the secure side or do we need to claim our bags, go thru customs, go outside the secure area to check our bags, then go through security again ??? I cannot find anything on the DFW website.
Everyone has to go through Security after clearing customs if they have an onwards connection, even if they have no checked bags. So you will immediately be able to re-check your bags at the re-check desk, but then have to go through security to access your departure gate.
I am flying on Aug 30th so don't have gate info yet. First time going through DFW . I arrive 6pm next flight departs 645PM . Is 45 min enough to travel between any potential American airlines gates? Is construction a problem?
Yes, that is enough time if the first flight is on-time. The Skylink train connects all terminals and gates inside security.
thanks! I'm 69 now and stress more easily than I used to so a strange airport and all was making me a bit nervous
My wife and I will be returning from Cancun and I am worried about our connecting flight time.
We will be flying from Cancun and arriving in Dallas at 2:05 pm at terminal D (American Airlines)...and our connecting flight will be at 3:26 pm terminal B (American Airlines) to McAllen, Tx. (1hr 21 minutes to make connecting flight)
Will we have to grab our checked luggage, go through customs, re-check our luggage and run to gate?
Is 1 hr 21 minutes enough time?
That's below the 90 minute minimum for International to domestic connections at DFW.
I'm trying to minimize the chance of missing my connecting flight and wonder if would be quicker to have no checked baggage for a domestic connection if flying with the same airline?
Is it possible the baggage transfer would take longer than my own transfer, which may mean I can't board?
I'm flying from Houston to Kansas with United, via DFW, with a 1 hour layover (landing 8 am, dep 9 am). I'm now trying to plan my baggage and wonder if there is any time advantage in packing light and having no checked baggage? Or is there actually an advantage in having checked baggage (as the next plane can't take off without me if the baggage has gone straight through to the next flight?) Or no difference? I appreciate your comments, as I'm in Australia trying to pack for my USA holiday.
United doesn't have a hub in DFW. So you are likely flying American. Please double check your reservation. Since the trip is domestic there's no advantage to not having checked bags.
Yes I meant American. Thank you for your comment - it would be much more convenient for me to not need to skimp on what I am taking.
