  • AMS via DFW to MHK
    Mar 26, 2017
Hello. I am a U.S. citizen flying on American Airlines from Amsterdam, Neth. to DFW and then connecting on to an American Eagle flight to Manhattan, KS. The layover time at DFW is only 1 hour 23 ". Is this enough time to make the transfer and can you tell me from which terminal the American Eagle flight will depart? Thank you.

That's below the minimum International to domestic connection time of 90 minutes. Your flight to Manhattan will depart from Terminal B.

  • from qantas air (int) to american airlines - Flight 611 (ATL)
    Mar 26, 2017
Hi Can you please advise how I find out which terminal and gate I need for American airlines flight 611 to Atlanta??? I will be arriving at terminal D. Any help greatly appreciated.

That flight will depart from A or C. The Skylink train connects all terminals and gates inside security.

I'm traveling from Stillwater, Oklahoma to Frankfurt, Germany. My connection in DFW is only 45 minutes. Will this be enough time?

Yes, that is enough time if the flight from Stillwater is on-time but obviously doesn't leave much time to spare if it isn't. The Skylink train connects all terminals and gates inside security.

  • Flying from Australia to Costa Rica
    Mar 24, 2017
We are landing in DFW from a direct Qantas flight from Sydney Australia We are then connecting to an American Airlines flight to San Jose Costa Rica. There is a i hour 40 minute gap between flights - is this enough time and what do we need to do at the airport as a transit traveller - customs etc??

That is barely enough time if everything goes perfectly. You will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate.

  • Enough time for customs

I am looking at a trip from Atlanta to Cabo, Mexico. On the return trip there is a stop in Dallas - Fort Worth with a 1 hour and 30 minute layover. Is that enough time to get through customs and to my gate for my flight to Atlanta?

That is just enough time if everything goes perfectly.

  • DFW Layover from Vancouver, Canada to Lima, Peru
    Mar 20, 2017
Will be traveling to Lima, Peru in early October from Vancouver, Canada with a Canadian passport. On the way to Lima, layover in DFW is 3 hours which I think is enough time. Worried about the way back to Vancouver, with a layover in DFW which is almost 90 minutes (but not quite). Will this be enough time? All booked under same ticket (American Airlines) and will try best not to check in any items.

That is difficult. Everything will have to go perfectly for you to make it.

  • Short intl connection
    Mar 20, 2017
Hello me and if wife are traveling from London to Mexico City and connect in Dallas halfway. We have 1 hour and 45 minutes to connect - I am a Mexican citizen with a travelers visa and my wife is American. We arrive in terminal D and leave via terminal C. Q1: Can we make it in time? Q2: Can I tag along my wife through the line for american citizens (to save time)? We will bring our marriage certificate if proof is needed.

Both flights should be in Terminal D. You won't be able to go through the US Citizens line since you are entering the US on a Visa and the kiosks can't handle those.

Alright good to know, thanks! Do you think we can make it with an hour and 45 mins? Arrive around 3pm on a Monday, don't know how that USB for peak hours.

That should be just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

  • Coming fr Phx to DFW to Hongkong
    Mar 16, 2017
I am coming from Phoenix going to hongkong, connecting flight is SFW, is 1 1 hr 35 min enough? DO I need to go out and rechecked in at immigration?

There is no US Immigration when leaving the US. All you have to do in DFW on your way to Hong Kong is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Skylink train connects all terminals and gates inside security.

  • Canada - US connections and baggage for daughter
    Mar 16, 2017
My daughter is flying from Canada to Dallas on American, and transferring in Dallas to go to Tyler, Texas. Does she need to collect her luggage before connecting, and does she change terminals? If so, how does she do this? Thanks!

She will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Canada. All she has to do in DFW is go from her arrival gate to her departure gate. The Skylink train connects all terminals and gates inside security.

    Thank you!

  • Coming from Monterrey & going to Abu Dhabi is 1hr 40 min enough?
    Mar 15, 2017
I reaching from Monterrey to Dallas airport at 6.40pm by AA & next flight Ethiad 8.20 pm . Is this 1hr20 min is enough? Do I need to go through security check & immigration?

Coming from Mexico? Yes, you'll have to go through US Immigration, Claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, and go through security. It will be very difficult to do that in such a short amount of time.

  • Directions
    Mar 15, 2017
Do I pick up baggage when coming in from terminal B to go to Homeland security in Terminal D? DFW is final destination. Do I ride Skylink to terminal D

Where are you flying from and to? Considering all arrivals in to B are domestic, all you should have to do is take the Skylink from B to D unless your flights are on two separate reservations. Or are you just ending your trip in DFW? If so then there's no reason to go to D if you arrive in B.

  • to which terminal do I connect
    Mar 15, 2017
I fly in for a connecting flight to Phoenix from Ft. Wayne, Indiana. How far apart are the connecting terminals.?

you will arrive in A or C and depart from B. All terminals and gates are connected inside security by the Skylink train.

  • Teenage daughter and I are leaving from two different terminals
    Mar 15, 2017
My daughter and I are leaving from two different terminals. My flight leaves at 8AM from terminal E and my daughter's flight leaves at 9AM form terminal C. What is the best way for me to get her checked in then go to my check in. She has flown many times and some solo since childhood but I'm looking for suggestions on the best way to handle time.

Do either of you have bags to check?

yes, we both have to check our luggages

Then you'll either just have to go to your terminals yourselves and do everything or you can get there really early go to her terminal, check her bags, then take the shuttle to your terminal, check your bags, go through security and then once your plane leaves she can take the Skylink to her departure gate.

thank you so much...I will do just that, thx again

  • Terminal D to Domestic Terminal
    Mar 13, 2017
Hi I am flying in from Abu Dhabi, Etihad into Ter D at Dallas and need to take a domestic flight to Phoenix. How much time is sufficient to make it to the domestic flight?

Since you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Abu Dhabi, 2 hour is sufficient if you are flying American to Phoenix.

  • Advice on connection from Terminal D to A
    Mar 12, 2017
My daughter is arriving into DFW Terminal D on a British Airways flight from Heathrow and connecting to a British Airways flight to Kansas City. Am I right that this leaves from Terminal A? We are confused about what the procedure is for this connection. Does she have to pick up her luggage and then take it to Terminal A? Could someone please explain exactly what she has to do? She has never made a flight connection before so any advice would be really appreciated! She has 2 hours to make the connection. Thank you.

The flight to Kansas City will be operated by American Airlines. She will arrive in D, go through US Immigration, claim her bags, go through US Customs, re-check her bags at the re-check desk, go through security and take the Skylink train to her departure gate. She should have enough time if everything goes smoothly.

That is really helpful. Thank you very much.
