It runs every 2 mins and takes about 5 minutes of transfer time on average. Terminals A& B,Skylink stations are between gates A13-16 & A29-34, and B9-12 & B28-31tufeb13posted on Tue, Feb 12

Arr fromSydney/Dept to CancunFeb 12, 201330Hi Team, I'm landing from Sydney at 13.45pm and want to depart at 16.25 to Cancun. Couple of questions: A - Is 2.40hr enough time to clear customs (International flight), collect bags and check-in (International flight)? and B - How long would it take between landing Term D (Qantas) and leaving from Term A (AA)? Your answers are appreciated.AntonioTposted on Mon, Jan 21On arrival a DFW, at Terminal D, you need to go through passport check, pick up bags, go through customs clearance and re-check-in your bag where indicated. (Qantas & AA both belong to the OneWorld Alliance - your bags will then automatically be transferred to your AA flight). To get to Terminal A, take the free 'Terminal Link' blue & green accessible vans transfer passengers outside the baggage claim of each terminal, running every 10 minutes, 5am-midnight Nearest pick-up/drop-off areas at corresponding terminals are at gate D24 and between gates: A15-16 & A25-26. You have plenty of time.tujan13posted on Tue, Jan 22

Layover time for senior travelerNov 14, 201210I am booking a flight for my 82 year old grandmother who will be traveling alone. She will return from Puerto Vallarta on AA landing at 6:30pm at terminal D and has a connection with AA at another terminal (doesn't specify which one) leaving at 8pm (to Pittsburgh). I am wondering if this is enough time for her, given that she has to go through customs, etc. There is another option, which gives her a 3.5hr layover vs the 1.5hrs mentioned above, any suggestion on which would be better for her? If she requests a wheelchair will they take her through the entire process and will it be quicker? Thanks in advance!seniortravelposted on Wed, Nov 14While your mother's arrival at DFW is in Terminal D, where she needs to go through passport check, pick up her bag (if she has a checked bag) and go through customs clearance, then re-check-in bag where indicated. American Eagle uses Terminals B & D, American Airlines uses domestic flight Terminals A & C - all with corresponding gates (i.e., gate A17). The free Skylink train runs inside the post-security area of each of the five terminals, starting at the International Terminal D at gates D2, D20, D25 & D34, and connecting to the other terminals by two Skylink stations each (close to the left and right end). Customs & TSAOct 24, 201210I'm going to Mexico next week. When I return the following week and have to go thru Customs, will I have to go thru TSA Security Check (again) before boarding my connecting flight to STL? I'm asking this because last year when I went and came back thru Miami, I did have go thru TSA. When we arrived in Miami, we barely had time to pick them up and re-check them. When I was leaving Mexico, I bought a bottle of Kahlua and ended up having to dump it in Miami when I had to go thru TSA. I don't want the same thing to happen again.rosarosaposted on Tue, Oct 23The reason why you may have to go through security again is that after customs clearance you are in the unsecured area and therefore, if transferring to another flight, will need to go through security check before proceeding to connecting gates - unless the Airport you arrive at shuttles you by special bus to your connecting terminal/ concourse /gate. At DFW, the Skylink train runs inside security, while 'Terminal Link' blue & green vans transfer passengers outside baggage claim depositing them between the following gates: A15-16 & A25-26; B12-13 & B23; C12-15 & C24-27; D17 and D24; E9-13 & E18-21. On arrival look at overhead screen to find your connecting gate.weoct12posted on Wed, Oct 24

London To Costa RicaOct 11, 201210Hi. I'm traveling from London to Costa Rica on American Airlines, changing planes in Dallas. 1. Will my checked in bags go straight through? 2. We have 2 hours to transfer - that will be enough time won't it? Thank you.ALSposted on Thu, Oct 11On arrival at DFW your bags will automatically be transferred to your connecting AA flight. Note that AA uses International Terminal D and Domestic Terminals A, B, C & E (American Eagle uses TB & TD). You arrive at TD and need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and re-check-in your bag/s where indicated. Look at overhead screens (and also your ticket) to find your connecting terminal or corresponding gate. Then take the free Skylink train, which runs inside the post-security area of each of the five terminals, starting at the International Terminal D at gates D2, D20, D25 & D34, and connecting to the other terminals by two Skylink stations each (close to the left and right end). Transferring from terminal B to EOct 11, 201210I am taking flight AA3209 from LAW which lands in TB at 425pm and then switching over the US1108 to CLT which departs at 530pm. My concern is that these 2 flights were booked separately, so will I get both boarding passes from LAW and will my checked-in bags be transferred to the USAirways flight automatically? If I have to collect my bags, then transfer over, would I have enough time?burnflareposted on Thu, Oct 11Your US connecting flight will be out of TE (which is not connected by walkway to the other domestic terminals). On arrival at TB you need to claim your bags (as AA and US belong to a different Alliance, and you have separate bookings) and take them to TE, where you need to re-check-in your bag with US Airlines before proceeding to your connecting gate. The Skylink train connects all gate areas inside the secured area. However, you will be in the unsecured area of TB when claiming your bags. Go to the information counter there to find out if you can go with your bag through security check to catch the Skylink stations located between gates A13-16 & A29-34, B9-12 & B28-31, C8-12 & C27-32, and E8-11 & E31-32 . An hour seems to be very tight for all this.thoct12posted on Thu, Oct 11

CustomsOct 10, 201221We are flying to Terminal A, with flight AA1589 next monday from New York to Dallas to catch the next AA plane 657 that leaves for Mexico from Terminal D. Do we have to go throw customs, and or pick up our bags or can we just run to the next terminal. We have very little time, only 45 minutes from Terminal A to terminal D. Please answer, dont want to miss our flight.Anetteposted on Tue, Oct 9You have enough time! Only international arrivals, need to go through customs clearance procedure. As you use AA for both legs of your journey, your bags will automatically be transferred to your connecting flight. On Arrival at TA, take the free Skylink train, which departs (post-security) between gate set A15-16 & A25-26 and will arrive at TD, making stops at D2, D25 & D34. The Skylink runs every 2 mins and takes about 5 mins to go around.tuoct12posted on Tue, Oct 91 person likes this post [ Like ]
