I noticed that skylink is only running in one direction between terminals. We need to get from terminal A29 to C17 on the 27th. Which direction does skylink go? A to C I'm hoping. We have 40 minutes between flights.

At DFW, Terminals A & C are on the same side of the road lane; and the free Skylink train runs inside the post-security area of each of the five terminals, starting at the International Terminal D and connecting to the other terminals by two Skylink stations on either side - running every 2 mins and taking about 5 minutes of transfer time on average. Skylink stations are between gates A13-16 & A29-34, and C8-12 & C27-32. You have enough time.

I will be arriving at DFW on an international flight from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I know that I have to first clear immigration and customs upon deplaning. My question: I will be connecting with a flight operated by American Eagle. It's my understanding that both my arriving flight and my connecting flight will arrive at / depart from Terminal D. Is that correct? Will American transfer my checked bags to American Eagle after I clear Customs? (I am a US citizen living in Mexico).

    1. All international arrivals, including US citizens, (other than those cleared at some Canadian, Irish, and Caribbean airports with US Customs clearance) need to go through passport control, pick up bags, go through customs clearance, and if continuing flight, re-check-in bags before proceeding to connecting flight. 2. Your American Eagle flight will arrive at the International Terminal TD and depart from the domestic Terminal TB. After customs clearance, exit TD and walk to TB, where you need to go through security check and on to your gate (overhead screens will indicate gate number). Count on an hour transfer time.

Traveling from American Eagle to Delta with an hour connection. Whats the best way?

At DFW, you arrive at Terminal B and depart from Terminal E. The free Skylink train runs inside the post-security area of each of the five terminals, starting at the International Terminal D at gates D2, D20, D25 & D34, and connecting to the other terminals by two Skylink stations each (close to the left and right end). It runs every 2 mins and takes about 5 minutes of transfer time on average. Terminal B station is between gates B9-12 & B28-31; Terminal E station is between gates E8-11 & E31-32.

I am connecting from one flight to another (arriving and departing from Term D) with 40 min in between. I expect to arrive at gate 34 and depart from gate 16. Is it better to walk/run or to take the Skytram? Thanks for the help.

The Skylink stops are near gates D1, D20, D25 & D34. or you can walk. However, if you are an international arrival at DFW, you need to go through passport check, pick up bags, & go through customs clearance before proceeding to your connecting gate - you would not make the connection timewise.

WHAT TERMINAL IS GATE T-3 LOCATED???

There is no T3 - DFW Airport has Terminals TA through TD with corresponding gates. Open www.ifly.com/dfw, click on "Terminal Map" under QUICK LINKS, scroll down to text & you find details, including airlines serving those terminals.

Providing my plane arrives at Term B on time at 17.00 have I enough time to get to Term D for flight leaving at 17.00

On arrival at DFW you have nearly three hours available between flights and can leisurely roam the International Terminal to find food & drink or shops (interactive touch screens will give you locations). I suggest you exit Terminal B and take the free 'Terminal Link' (blue & green accessible vans) located outside the baggage claim of each terminal, which runs every 10 minutes - the nearest pick-up/drop-off areas at corresponding terminals are beween: A15-16 & A25-26; and D17 and D24. Then go through security check at Terminal D; look at overhead screen to check your departure flight and gate frequently.

How do I got from Terminal E to Terminal D? I read that Terminal E doesn't connect to the other terminals?? Any help would be appreciated. My flight is today.

At DFW, to get from one terminal to the other you have two options. (a) The free Skylink train runs inside the post-security area of each of the five terminals, starting at the International Terminal D at gates D2, D20, D25 & D34, and connecting to the other terminals by two Skylink stations each (close to the left and right end). It runs every 2 mins and takes about 5 minutes of transfer time on average. Terminals A, B, C & E Skylink stations are between gates A13-16 & A29-34, B9-12 & B28-31, C8-12 & C27-32, and E8-11 & E31-32 . (b) Alternatively, free 'Terminal Link' blue & green accessible vans transfer passengers outside the baggage claim of each terminal, running every 10 minutes, 5am-midnight, thereafter call 972-574-5465. Nearest pick-up/drop-off areas at corresponding terminals are beween: A15-16 & A25-26; B12-13 & B23; C12-15 & C24-27; D17 and D24; E9-13 & E18-21.

I arrive at terminal D from British Airways, and have 1 hour and 45 minutes to transfer to an American Airlines flight in Terminal A. I know that I will have to go through passport control and customs, retrieve my bag, and re-check my bag. I am concerned that I may not have enough time in between flights. Does anybody know if this will be enough time, and also what the quickest way to get from Terminal D to A will be? In total, what will be my estimated time from terminal to terminal?? I really can not afford to miss my flight.

First of all, find out if British Airways transfers your bags to your American Airline flight - if not, you would need to re-check-in your bag with American at their baggage counter in Terminal A. Either way, you have enough time for transfer. After customs clearance you can catch the Skylink train (at either Gates D1, 20, 25 or 34) and take it to Terminal A, where it stops between gates A13-16 & A29-34. OR you can take the 'Terminal Link' blue & green van, which stops at Terminal D between gates D17-24; and between gates A15-16 & A25-26.

  • Connecting flights in / out Terminal D

Hi, I'm arriving into and departing from Terminal D (BA5014 from Cancun AA/BA Codeshare and departing on BA 192 to LHR - 2.5 hrs connection). Can I through-check my bags from CUN to LHR and do I have to clear customs and immigration to get to my connecting flight please? What is the process from arriving to departing and will I have any spare time? Thank you for your advice.

As an international arrival at DFW you need to go through customs procedure AA will transfer bags to BA. You have plenty of time. For all details open www.ifly.com/dfw and click on "Terminal Map" under QUICK LINKS, then scroll down to the text.

Thank you so much, weaug12. I feel much happier now that I know I have to clear customs first. Having plenty of time is my "thing".

Well, I have done the trip and I must complement the Immigration Officer we met on his positive attitude and friendliness. The fingerprinting process is a bit daunting (Have managed to avoid this in the UK so far ha ha). Ou bags were indeed transferred directly from American to British Airways. On arrival at the BA Flight gate, you have to pre-register with them if you are transferring from an AA flight. If you don't you will be denied boarding so get there early and then wander off to the shops. We met one of the terminal guides - a delightful lady - who was a great advert for Dallas! Thoroughly enjoyable stay even for just a couple of hours. And our bags arrive OK at Heathrow too.

I know its 5 months ahead but i worry about my flight. I fly from Miami on december 28 to Paris via DFW. I would land at 3.15 in Forth Worth snd need to transfer to terminal D to connect to my flight to Paris that will take off at 5 pm. Im wortied that 1 hour and a half wouldnt be enough. Will i have to go thru security again?

Miami Airport has a North Terminal with Concourse D, the Central Terminal with Concourses E, F & G, and the South Terminal with Concourses H & J. American Eagle & American Airlines use the North Terminal, you may arrive at either E or D gates & depart from D gates, accessible via Skytrain, which makes 4 stops at D gates. Your ticket will show you gate number, so will the overhead screen on your arrival at MIA.

That is plenty of time at DFW. If you land in a terminal other than Terminal D, there is a tram system to get you to D. It's all inside security and very efficient.

I arrive at A33 and depart D36 with 45 minutes between flights if all goes well and is on time. What is the quickest way between terminals? Can we walk from A to D quite easily?

You arrive at Terminal A and need to get to Terminal D - the elevated Skylink train stops near the escalator/elevator at TA between Gates A13-16 and A29-39 and arrives at Terminal D (making several stops) between both D11-20 and D24-34 -it runs every 2 mins, taking on average 5 mines

Thanks mucho. That is exactly what I needed verifying.

I have a flight on AA leaving FLL at 7:30am and arriving at 9:30am to Dallas/Forth Worth with a connecting flight to Dubai on Emirates at 12;35. Do you think I will have enough time to go through security and check in for the Dubai Flight?

At DFW you could arrive via American Airlines at either Terminals A through D with corresponding gates - your ticket should indicate arrivals terminal. Emirates Flight 222 to Dubai is listed today as departing at gate D11 (Terminal D). If you need to check in first (in case you AA does not transfer bags to Emirates, exit and take the free 'Terminal Link' blue & green vans transfer passengers outside the baggage claim of each terminal, running every 10 minutes. If no baggage re-check is necessary, take the free Skylink train, which runs inside the post-security area of each of the five terminals, starting at the International Terminal D at gates D2, D20, D25 & D34, and connecting to the other terminals by two Skylink stations each (close to the left and right end). It takes about runs every 2 mins and takes 5 minutes of transfer time on average. Terminals A, B, C & E Skylink stations are between gates A13-16 & A29-34, B9-12 & B28-31, C8-12 & C27-32, and E8-11 & E31-32. You have enough time for either way.
