checking 2 bags in ACT - arrive DFW at 4:42 will have to retrieve bags and get through customs in DFW to board flight leaving at 538pm - plan use eboarding pass and using passport mobile app to help with customs - Am I kidding myself that this is possible?
You do not have to go through customs in DFW. There is no US Customs when leaving the US and you won't even be leaving the US until you get to Fort Lauderdale. If you are flying into DFW on AA and out on Spirit you have no chance of making your connection because you will have to transfer your bags from Terminal B where you arrive to Terminal E where you depart yourself on the shuttle bus. By the time you get you and your bags to Terminal E, you will have missed the bag check cutoff.
Hi, We're flying to LA from London in August. Our landing is scheduled at 19:25 and connecting flight at 21:00, so we have 1:34h. We're flying back from LA and arriving in DFW at 21:02 and have a flight back to the UK at 22:10. We're flying with Iberia and American Airlines. What happens if we miss the connecting flight? Thank you!
That is barely enough time if everything goes smoothly on the way there. None of your flights will be on Iberia. The DFW-London flights will be on American or British Airways. If you miss the connection you will be rebooked on the next available flight.
I will be flying from LIM to DFW, then on to SJC with a checked bag and 1 hour and 50 minutes between flights. I will need to get my bag, clear it through customs and recheck it. Will I have to go through security again at DFW? Will this be ample time to make my connection?
Yes, you will have to go through security at DFW. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
I have never have flown a connecting flight before as this is my first time. How hard is it to navigate from AA to another AA flight? My connecting flight here will be going onto SNA airport. Thank you for your help as I am extremely scared and apprehensive about this.
The Skylink train connects all terminals and gates inside security. Just follow signs to your departure gate. All you have to do is go from one gate to the other.
Hi there. We are flying Miami-Vancouver via Dallas in August on AA. AA changed our original MIA-DFW flight to a later slot meaning we now have only 42 minutes to make it to our YVR flight. Is this enough? Any thoughts out there? Cheers DCM
Yes, that is still possible. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate on the Skylink Train.
Hey there - flying from SYD- DFW arriving 13:00pm Terminal D and my next flight is on AA terminal C at 14:50 to Nicaragua. I am guessing 20 minutes is not enough time for the 90 minute check in policy AA has... I am QF staff on standby so will have to go and check in at the desk in DFW for AA. (Don't have a checked in bag).... Not worth the trouble?
You will also depart from Terminal D. Yes, I agree that would be a very difficult connection, especially traveling on interline pass privileges.
We have to go out of security so I am guessing will need to take shuttle not skylink. How long do you think it will take to make this transfer and get through security. Arrive DFW 5:38 PM Terminal A, Depart DFW Terminal D to Santiago Chile 8:15 PM
If it's both AA flights you shouldn't have to exit security. AA is the only airline that flies into Terminal A and the only airline that flies from DFW to Santiago.
