I have Qantas tickets booked from Sydney to fort Myers via Dallas. Dallas to fort Myers leg codeshare with AA with 90 mins transit time. Is 90 mins enough? Do I need to collect checked bags to clear immigration? I'm traveling with my 84 years old mother.
Yes you will arrive in Terminal D, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and then take the Skylink train to your departure terminal. It is just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
I am Indian passport holder traveling from SFO to DFW airport by AA. I have a connecting flight by AA to Amsterdam in 1 hour. Will 1 hr be enough Do I need to checkin baggage again ?
Also if the incoming flight is late do AA arrange next available flights?
Thanks in Advance!
If both flights are on the same reservation then you don't have to do anything with your bags in DFW on your way to Amsterdam. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Skylink train connects all gates inside security. You have enough time.
Yes both flights are on same reservation and of american airlines.
I am looking at STL to HKG with connection at DFW. One of the proposed routes on AA site is AA1442 (STL 0752-DFW 0956) and AA125 (DFW 1040 - HKG 1610 +1). There is only 44 mins connection which is a tad scary. I take that it's a legitimate combination but is it possible to make?
It is possible, but as you suspect, it leaves no time to spare for anything to go wrong.
Thanks a lot. There is only one DFW-HKG flight everyday and I definitely wouldn't want to risk it.
I will be arriving from international travel via British Airways at 3 pm. I am planning on then taking Delta or Alaska to PDX whose flight would depart at 430pm. Will I need to go through customs? Is an hour enough to go through customs to get on another airline to travel?
Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags and go through US Customs. You will then need to take a shuttle to Terminal E if you want to fly Delta or Alaska. 90 minutes is NOT enough time to do all that. You need at least 3 hours.
Hi, I'm booking AA1259 on Feb 15th arriving DFW at 9:45am, connecting at 10:35am AA0127 to PVG. Both should be at Terminal D according to Flightaware. Is this a safe connection to make? Since there's often delays in Toronto due to weather.
Yes, that is enough time. You may not arrive in Terminal D. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. You just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
