So i am transferring in Dallas. Coming from London, and going to Mexico City. Flying American Airlines. Is 1h and 20min enough time?
Realistically, no that is not enough time. 90 minutes is the official minimum, but I recommend at least 2 hours. However it's not impossible if the first flight arrives a bit early.
Hello I'm flying from Cleveland to Dallas and Dallas to Seoul, but I only have 45 minutes duration between my connecting flights. Do you think I'll make it? Also, if ever I'm not able to make it, do you think the airline will set up the next flight for me? I'm moving from Terminal C to D and both flights are American Airlines.
It's possible but it doesn't leave any time to spare. Yes, if you miss your connection you will be rebooked on the next day's flight to Seoul or would be rebooked to Seoul through Tokyo.
I am flying from CLE to DFW, then DFW to Santiago. Will I need to claim my checked bag upon arrival in DFW and re-check it in Terminal D for the international flight?
If both flights are on American, no you don't. All you have to do is take the Skylink train to Terminal D.
Hi, I am going to get connected with DFW within 2h25min, from Souel Korea to Indianapolis, IN by AA. I am an international student so I am afraid if the time is enough for customs. Thanks.
That is enough time. You will arrive in Terminal D, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and take the Skylink train to your departure gate which will likely be in a different terminal.
Got it and the departure terminal is same as the arrival which would save me time! Thank you very much!
Hi there, i am travelling from tokyo to calgary in canada, i have two checked in heavy bags, will they be transferred straight through? and will i have to go through customs again? The flights are bought togther as a connecting flight on AA. thank you
In DFW You will have to go through US Immigration, Customs, and Security but you will not have to claim and re-check your bags since you are on an International to International connection all on AA.
thanks so much for the help !!
I'm flying from Austin to Lima with a layover in Dallas, expected arrival in Dallas is 8.45pm and my connecting flight is due to leave at 10.15pm. Is this plenty of time to change terminal? And will I have to re-check in for international travel in Dallas?
my auntie says you will be fine! the flight crew will tell you which flights connect from which gate before you land at DFW.
I will be arriving at DFW from Sydney on Qantas, then connecting to Austin TX on AA. Which terminal will the Dallas-Austin flight leave from?
It will depart from A or C. The Skylink train connects all terminals inside sevcurity.
Hi guys! I have a connection on DFW. I am flying With AA to terminal A-A8 and I have to get to gate D-D27A.
I just have ONE hour! Any tips?! Thank you!
All you have to do is take the Skylink train. It shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes.
Terminal D.
Hi, i'm flying from heathrow to tulsa with a connecting flight in dallas, i believe i have an hour or so before my next flight leaves, will i make it through? Will i have to go through immigration / boarder control there or when i arrive in tulsa? Is an hour enough time for me to get through or in case i miss the flight, what options will i have? (I've never done a connecting flight before so i'm very unsure of how it works!)
That is not enough time for an international to domestic connection in DFW. You will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate on the skylink train. If you miss your connection you will be rebooked on the next available flight to Tulsa. 90 minutes is the minimum with 2 hours recommended.
