Hi, i'm flying from heathrow to tulsa with a connecting flight in dallas, i believe i have an hour or so before my next flight leaves, will i make it through? Will i have to go through immigration / boarder control there or when i arrive in tulsa? Is an hour enough time for me to get through or in case i miss the flight, what options will i have? (I've never done a connecting flight before so i'm very unsure of how it works!)
That is not enough time for an international to domestic connection in DFW. You will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate on the skylink train. If you miss your connection you will be rebooked on the next available flight to Tulsa. 90 minutes is the minimum with 2 hours recommended.
Hello. We are flying from London Heathrow to Cancun via DFW. Both flights are AA flights but the London to Dallas leg is operated by British Airways. Will we be required to claim and clear outr bags in Dallas?
Arriving from Minneapolis at 9:54 am. Connecting flight to Liberia, CR at 11:08.. Is there anything we will be required to do? Or just find gate? Is this a close connection time?? Have never been to DFW...
All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Skylink train connects all gates inside security. You have enough time if the first flight is on-time.
I'm flying into DFW from London Heathrow and then on to El Paso on BA, I'm a UK citizen and there's only about 1hr 40mins for the connection from landing in DFW to departure to El Paso. What procedure will I have to go through at DFW and will I have enough time to get my connection to El Paso ?
It's just enough time if everything goes smoothly. You will arrive in Terminal D, go through US immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and take the Skylink train to your departure terminal and gate.
I will be re-entering US at DFW...flying AA Flight 37...connecting to British Air 1513 to Fresno, CA. I have a 2 hr 15 min layover. Do I have time to pick up checked baggage and clear customs or should I just plan on carry-on?
Both flights will be AA. Yes, you will arrive in Terminal D, go through US immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and take the Skylink train to your departure terminal and gate. That should be enough time.
I'm a US Citizen re-entering the country from Australia. I'm pretty sure I enter through terminal D but I'm not sure which terminal I depart at. I have a layover time of exactly 1hr. 30 minutes to go from Dallas to Tampa. Will that me enough time for me to get through immigration and customs or should I request a later flight?
You will depart from Terminal A or C. That is just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
I have a connection flight at DFW travelling from Tampa to London. I only have 55 minutes between connections, will this be long enough?
Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Skylink train connects all gates inside security.
Is this the same for SLC to Heathrow via DFW? I have a three hour layover between flights, with American Airlines travelling home to London. I'm worried I'll have to recheck bags etc but no other site has been useful.
