After a tour of Europe, we will be traveling FRA-DFW and clearing Customs. The tour ends in DFW and I made separate arrangements from DEN with a separate booking number. Since it is a totally separate flight, can I get my UA boarding pass and check my bags outside of Customs or do I need to haul all luggage to United flight check-in? I know that I will have to go through security again however I am wondering about the logistics of checking my bags after arrival at DFW. Is there a separate check-in desk for United outside of Customs? The bags cannot be checked from FRA to DEN since it is 2 separate bookings.
You will need to take the shuttle bus to Terminal E to check your bags with United.
Traveling from Vegas to Cancun with a connection in Dallas... 55 minutes between flights. Land in terminal C and fly from terminal D! Is that enough time (assuming no delays) and does our luggage get transfered automatically?
Yes, your baggage will be transferred automatically. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate in Terminal D. The Skylink train connects all gates and terminals inside security. You have enough time.
I need help. I'm flying from Fargo to DFW and then on to Tokyo. I have only an hour to transfer. I hope the luggage will be transferred automatically but I'm still very worried. Is it possible to make it?
Yes, your baggage will be transferred automatically. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate in Terminal B to your departure gate in Terminal D. The Skylink train connects all gates and terminals inside security. You have enough time.
Have a 2:40 layover coming in from Hong Kong at 4:15 and flying to Dulles at 6:55pm. Is the 2:40 layover enough time to go through immigration and so on? Thanks for any help.
Yes, that should be enough time.
My flight from Frankfurt to Dallas is delayed, so I might have only one hour to get my connection to Vancouver. Will this be enough (I have checked luggage & am German national)
both flight with American Airles
That is unlikely to be enough time unless the flight to Vancouver is also delayed.
Traveling from Shanghai to DFW and changing planes to Miami. No checked baggage. Do I need to go through security again because I want to buy some containers with liquids at the Shanghai Airport to carry with me to Miami
Yes, you will have to go through security again in DFW. If you don't have checked bags to put it in you can NOT buy liquids to carry with you at the Shanghai duty free.
I'm flying from Queretero to London Heathrow via Dallas - land in Dallas at 16:30 terminal B - flight to London is at 18:10 Terminal D. Will I have to clear US customs / immigration and collect my checked in baggage at DFW before my connecting flight and if yes - is 1h40mins enough time?
Actually both flights will be in Terminal D. You will go through US Immigration and Customs and security but since you are on an International to International connection with both flights on AA then you don't have to claim and re-check your bags. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
We return on a sat from Los cabos at 5:09pm connecting flight to Nashville at 6:29pm. Will that give me and my wife enough time for customs and to connect? Flights are on American Airlines . Thanks
That's short of the minimum international to domestic connection time at DFW. That will be a very difficult connection.
I'm flying American Airlines from Puerto Vallarta, MX into DFW. I have an hour and 25 minute layover until I have to catch my American Airlines flight to St. Louis, will this be enough time to go through customs and get on my flight?
No, that is below the minimum International to Domestic connection time at DFW.
Hi there, I am planning a trip in the future and I fly into Dallas from Grand Island at 9.35am with AA. I am looking at booking a flight to YYZ Toronto from Dallas International leaving at 11.35am with air Canada. Will this leave me enough time to collect my bags from the AA flight and then get to check in to the Air Canada flight or is it too close. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
It's quite difficult as you will have to take the shuttle bus from Terminal B where you arrive to Terminal E to check your bags with Air Canada after you claim your bags in B. The Bus runs slowly and irregularly. This is possible without checked bags, but with checked bags it makes it difficult.
