I have a connection from Terminal A to Terminal D, by looking at the airport map it looks pretty close but I can't tell, are you able to just walk across? Is it not too far to walk from A to D? I'm traveling with my 87 yr old mother.

There is a walkway from A to D but I would take the Skyway train.

    Sorry, Skylink train.

HI. I 'have a flight from Paris to Guatemala city. I have 1 hour and 10 minutes in dallas. Is it enought to pass immigration, to claim my lugages. I have myr ESTA, but people here, told me that's is to short !!! I travel with America airlines.

You don't have to claim your bags if both flights are on American, but you still have to go through Immigration, customs and Security. I Agree, that's not enough time.

Hi. I'm have only 1.5 hrs to connect from one international flight being qantas to a American Airlines flight both at terminal D. I've been advised I acutally have to collect my bags and recheck in by Travel agent but qantas flight says this does happen anymore. Please advise correct procedure and if enough time. Thanks. RH

I believe Qantas is wrong, but to be sure you can ask when you arrive. It's still a very difficult connection regardless.

We are arriving Friday at 12:03 from phoenix and connection to fort lauderdale is now at 12:55. Is 50 minutes enough time and do you think we will need to go to another terminal?

Yes, that is enough time if the first flight is on-time. There's about a 50/50 chance that you will have to change terminals. If you do the Skylink train connects all terminals and gates inside security.

Hi I'm flying Sdyney to DAllas to Mexico City on an Australian Passport. Do I need to clear US customs and immigration in Dalllas? Do i need a visa?

Yes, in DFW you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, and go through security. If you are an Australian citizen you do not need a Visa, but you have to complete ESTA before your trip. If you are not Australian, whether or not you need a visa depends on your citizenship.

AA changed my booking so we have a 58 minute connection coming from Las Vegas, to an international flight to Santiago, Chile, I don't believe this is enough time particularly if we have to change terminals

The Skylink train connects all gates inside security and all you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time if the flight from Las Vegas is on-time.

Hi, I'm flying from san jose to london with american airlines with a 1 hour 20 min transit in DFW. Is this enough time to transfer? Fortunately it;s a work trip so i'm flying first class San Jose to Dallas and Business for Dallas to London...just want to make sure that i don't need to collect luggage etc

Are you flying from San Jose, California or Costa Rica?

california. I've told our travel booker that this transfer time appears to be too short

That is enough time. You don't have to do anything with your bags in DFW on your way to London. All you have to do is take the Skylink train from your arrival gate in Terminal A or C to your departure gate in Terminal D.

thanks...although if i get in early i can enjoy time in the lounge :)

Is a 70 minute layover too short? Will I need to go through international security again?

Yes, that is enough time. There is no such thing as "International security". All you have to do in DFW is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Skylink train connects all terminals and gates inside security.

Hi, I am traveling LHR - DFW - BOG with AA (the first flight operated by Bristish Airways). I have 2h 55 min of connecting time. Is that enough? Can you tell directions? Also, I am traveling with my Italian passport. Do I need transit visa? Thanks!

In DFW you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. Hi, I am landing in Dallas at 1:30pm on a Saturday on Qantas, and I'm looking to fly straight to Cancun on a 4:30pm flight on Amercian Aairlines. The flights are booked separately. Could you please advise if 3 hours will be sufficient to go through customs and check in for the next flight? Thanks!

That's just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

Im so worried about the short connecting time in DFW. Im flying from MCO to DFW and to HKG, is 42 mintes enough for me to get off the plane, take the skylink, and walk to Terminal D before they close the bridge? Thanks!

Yes, it is enough time if the flight from Orlando is on-time, but it leaves no time to spare.

Hi there, I will be transiting through Dallas on my way to Ecuador from Toronto in December. The layover is 8 hour long, can I exit the airport and come back 2-3 hours before my flight to Ecuador? Thanks ! Marie

Yes, you can exit the airport. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. You will just have to go through security again when you return to the airport.
