Travelling from Vancouver Canada, flight 1189 arriving 7:03 pm. Connecting to Sao Paulo at 9:30 pm. Is this enough time? Do I have to collect my luggage?

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Vancouver. All you have to do in DFW is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have plenty of time.

Hi, I'm on a AA flight that arrives in terminal B from Greensboro at 9:55 AM, I need to get on an international AA flight that leaves terminal D at 10:35 AM. Is that enough time to switch? Do I need to go through security again at DFW? Thanks

Yes, that is enough time if the first flight is on-time. No, you do not have to go through security again. The Skylink train connects all gates inside security.

I am flying with AA from san antonio to DFW from where my next international connection to LHR is BA1531 I have only1.12 hrs at dfw. is it enough time for connection?

    Great Thanks!

I have a flight from Vancouver (YVR) to DFW which arrives at 1:12pm Friday. I have 2hr 17 min to have connection to Managua (MGA) at 3:29pm. Do I have enough time? Thank you!

Yes, that is enough time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Vancouver. All you have to do in DFW on your way to Managua is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Hi! I'm traveling from Guatemala (GUA) to the DFW and then taking another airplane to Japan, we arrive at the terminal E and depart from the same terminal. Both flights with United airlines. Do we have enough time? I'm super worried about the time due to the security checks etc.

Then you are connecting in Houston, not DFW.

Hi there, I am coming into Dallas from London Heathrow, and have a connection to Austin. I have 1hr 45mins to do this, so 1. do I have to collect my bag and 2. is this enough time? 1 passenger who needs to know her timings down to a T! - Thank you! :)

Yes, you have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate on the Skylink train. That is a very difficult connection, but not totally impossible. If you miss your connection AA flies lots of flights from DFW to Austin.

I land in DFW from London on American Airlines at 3.35pm. My flight from DFW to Mexico City on American Airlines is at 4.55pm. Is an hour and 20 minutes enough time to make that connection?

Realistically no, that's not enough time. You will have to go through US Immigration, Customs, and security in DFW. You don't have to claim your bags since it's international to international on AA, but that's still really difficult.

You will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Montreal. All you have to do in DFW is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.

I am traveling american airlines from BNA to CLL with a connection in Dallas. Is 40 minutes enough time for the connection (2pm - 240pm)?

Yes, that is enough time. The Skylink train connects all terminals inside security.

  • 30 minute connection from DFW to Cozumel-enough time?

Our airline changed connection time on us. We now have 30 minutes when we arrive at DFW to get to a Cozumel connection. Is this enough time??

If the first flight is domestic and both flights are on AA it's possible but it leaves no time to spare if the first flight is delayed.

On March 23rd, we are going from Detroit to San Jose by Southwest. We have a connection in DFW only for an hour and 5 minutes. Is it enough for changing the flight? Are all the Southwest gates close to each other?

You do not have a connection in DFW. Southwest does not fly to DFW. They fly to Dallas - Love Field, which is a small airport with a very simple relatively small terminal. You have enough time.

Hi we are travelling from London Heathrow to DFW and flying on to San Jose Cabo. We have 2 hours 10 mins. Can we have quick directions please. Thank you

You will arrive in Terminal D, go through US Immigration and Customs (you won't have to claim your bags since you're on an International to International connection through DFW on AA), then go through security and back to your departure gate, also in Terminal D.

    Oh, Thank you so much!

I am flying to DFW from Cancun then connect to HKG, with 1 hr 45 min in between. Both flights are AA and on same bookings. Do I need to collect my baggage and recheck? Is there enough time?

No you don't have to claim your bags in DFW since your connection is International to International all on AA. You do have to go through US Immigration, Customs, and Security. You have just enough time.

If I don't have to claim my checked baggage, am I going through customs with my carried-on only? Isn't going through customs and baggage clearance the same thing?

Hi. I am planning to book an AA flight from Mexico City connecting in DFW to St. Louis. Is 1 hour 25 minutes enough time to make that connection if I have to go through customs?

Yes, you have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. I recommend at least 2 hours.

Hi I'm arriving on BA0193 from LHR (UK) terminal D at 14.30 then flying on BA4659 (OPERATED BY AMERICAN AIRLINES) AT 17.05 to Palm Springs. Do I need to: 1. change terminals and if so do you know which one for Palm Springs? 2. collect my baggage and clear customs? 3. Will this give me enough time ... 2 1/12 hours? Many thanks for your help.

Yes, you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. You will depart from Terminal A or C. The Skylink train connects all terminals inside security. You have enough time.

    Many thanks for your help

i am flying to DFW from Sydney on Qantas and will have 1 hr 25mins before i fly to Chicago on Qantas. is this enough time? Both flights are on the same booking.

That is not enough time unless the flight from Sydney arrives early. 90 minutes is the minimum for International to Domestic connections in DFW, with 2 hours recommended. However, AA has hourly flights from DFW to Chicago.
