I will arrive to DFW at 10:39am and suppose to leave 11:30 am to HKG, i have never been to DFW and i dont know gates and what i have to do. Please let me know if my transfer time is enough and how should i transfer. Thanks!

You will take the skylink train from your arrival terminal to terminal d where you will depart. It runs inside security. You have enough time if your first flight is on time.

I will be flying from Mexico to Toronto, connecting in Dallas (with Delta). I think my luggage will go right through, without me having to recheck it in Dallas. Does anyone know if that's correct?

Yes, the AA procedure is that on an international to international connection through Dallas you do not have to claim your bags. You will still have to go through US Immigration and security though.

Thank you so much for that helpful information!!

am travelling from chennai to san antonio > Chenai > London > dallas or Chennai > frankfurt > Houston do I need a transit visa in London, frankfurt , dalls or houston for proceeding to SAN ANTONIO.

Assuming you are an Indian citizen, you will need a visitor Visa for the United States. Not a transfer Visa. For both London or Frankfurt you will need a transfer visa from those respective countries.

Hello, I am traveling to Guatemala from Colorado, with a connection in DFW. Do I need to claim my bags in DFW and then recheck them, or do I go directly to my international departure gate?

You do not have to do anything with your bags when leaving the US. You can just go directly to your departure gate.

  • Do I have to take luggage for a 10 hour layover in Dallas?

I am flying from Calgary, Canada to Miami, Florida, has a 10 hours layover in Dallas, will my luggage be sent from Calgary to Miami directly? Just wonder if I have to drag my luggage around until the next morning for a 5 am connecting flight? Is there a higher chance of my luggage of being lost if it sits in the airport for 10 hours to the next connecting flight? Thanks

You should be able to have your bags sent to Miami, but check with the agent in Calgary.

Hello. We are heading from Vancouver Canada go Dallas with a 50minute layover and connecting to Orlando. Both flights are American airlines. Is that enough time?

Yes, that should be enough time. you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Vancouver and in Dallas, the Skylink Train connects all terminals inside security.

    Thanks!

If I am flying writhin the state of Texas, do I still need a passport?

You do not need a passport for any trip within the United States. However, you do need some sort of photo ID in order to get through security to board the aircraft.

On 09/26/14, I lost my iphone 4S which is in a dark pink case when flying from Austin to DFW Flt. #2230. I may have dropped it in the seat of 3F or 3E or when debarking the plane; or in the Ladies restroom. Please post a response if found.

I am coming to pick up a friend from DFW coming in from SYD on QF7 at 1:45. How long does customs take about this time of day based on other international flights coming in?

You should plan on picking him up about 45 minutes after his flight is scheduled to arrive.

Hello, I left my ASUS tablet on the seat back of AA 294 arriving from El Paso to DFW 10pm Gate C15 20 Jun 14. Went back the 21st and they checked the plane not there. Cleaning crew must have found it. GRAY ASUS pad in a brown case all my school work is there. Left message with AA lost and found Please contact Rey Caraballo 254 449-1748 rey.caraballo@us.army.mil Thank You!

You may also try one of these 3 Lost & Found options at DFW: 1. Travelers Aid at Terminal E: lower level, outside of security, at E4; tel: 972-973-4420. 2. Travelers Aid at Terminal D: in the D15 baggage claim area, outside of security, lower level; tel: 972-973-5050. 3. American Airlines Lost and Found, at Terminal C, inside security across from gate C2. Tel: 972-425-2465; email at dfwlnf@aa.com.

No, I don't think that is enough time. You will need to find an earlier flight. Also delays of inbound domestic flights are very common at JFK and especially during the summer.

  • Max time between flights to re-check bags ?
    Jun 11, 2014

Hi landing DFW 19:10 ex LHR. DFW to MCO following day 07:40. Staying overnight at the Grand Hyatt. After I have done C&I can I re-check the bags (it is a through ticket despite the layover) ? Colleague said there was a 12 hour max connection re-check time. Is that from landing in which case I will be over, or from re-check time ? Would you recommend re-checking or taking with me to Hotel. Time will be tight in the morning and prefer to re-check but not sure if bags will be secure / follow us to MCO. Advice welcome :-)

  • Clearing Customs - Cozumel to DFW to LAX

I'm flying back from Cozumel with a 2 hour layover in DFW, will that be enough time to make my connecting flight to LAX? I'll arrive DFW at 8PM on Sun, Jul 6th and I'm concerned since it's a holiday weekend (although late evening) that 2 hours may not be enough time?

On arrival at DFW you need to go through passport check, pick up bags, go through customs clearance, then re-check-n your bags & get to your connecting domestic terminal. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/ then click on 'Terminal Map' under 'QUICK LINKS', and scroll down to the detailed text.

Hi I'm going to DALLAS FT WORTH from Chicago Ohare soon! I'm going to Mexico! I have the layover at Dallas and I only have 30 minutes to get to my next flight to take me to Mexico. My first question is if anyone can assist me to get to my other terminal when I land in Dallas. First time traveling by myself and I only have 30 minutes to catch my flight! Pretty stressful! I know they can help you if you're a kid but I'm 18! My second question is if I have to pick up my luggage after I arrive to Dallas? My final question is if I could tell anyone in the airplane while heading to Dallas to help me get to my next flight because I only have 30 minutes to catch my flight!!! Someone please help!

You won't have to do anything with your baggage in Dallas. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Skylink train connects all terminals inside security. You should have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

  • Where to meet arriving International passanger

Where do I meet an international arriving passenger in terminal D? This person speaks no English.

The exit of immigration on the arrivals level would be the best place.
