We have visitor's visa, final destination is Atlanta. Our port of entry is DFW. Flying Etihad - landing 4:25pm Terminal D; our connection is on AA to Atlanta - leaving 6:45pm. Does AA leave from the same terminal? What does the immigration process involve? Do we have enough time to make connection?
Actually, your point of entry is Abu Dhabi. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Abu Dhabi. In DFW all you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate on the Skylink train which connects all terminals and gates inside security. You will arrive in Terminal D and depart from A, C, or D.
Thank you very much for your help!!
Traveling from DFW to IAH to FRA via Lufthansa. At which points will I have to go through passport control & customs?
You will go through Schengen Entry Passport control in Frankfurt. There is no US Customs when leaving the US.
Hello,we are a party of four flying to DFW via Las Vegas to connect a flight to Cancun.
I have a layover of 1 hour 45 mins, will that be enough time to clear any airport security and customs.
Will we have to collect our bags?
We all have British Passports.
There is no US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do in DFW on your way to Cancun is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Skylink train connects all terminals and gates inside security.
I am arriving from Guadalajara Mexico and then onto New York I am traveling on American both flights. Do I have to collect my bags as well as go through immigration. Will I have to change terminals
You will arrive in Terminal D, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate on the Skylink train.
I fly from Cancun into Dallas and have a 1 hour 48 minute layover before catching a flight to Canada. I change terminals but not sure of the numbers. Is this sufficient time?
You will arrive, go through US Immigration, Customs, and Security and take the skylink train to your departure terminal. You have barely enough time if everything goes perfectly.
hello, I'm flying with AA from Tokyo to Mexico City, with a layover of 1h45m in Dallas. I am european citizen. Do I need to collect my bags in Dallas and recheck them?
No, you won't have to claim and re-check your bags, but you will have to go through US Immigration, customs, and security.
Thank you!
We are Flying from Toronto Canada to Dallas Fort Worth then onto Puerto Vallarta. Do we have to pick up a luggage and go through US customs in Dallas or will our Luggage Just go automatically through to Puerto Vallarta. As well do we pay Twice for luggage charges or only Once
You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. If both flights are on American then all you have to do in DFW is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate in DFW on the way to Puerto Vallarta.
Hi my family and I will be coming back from Puerto Vallarta to Illinois via DFW, will an hour and 1/2 layover be enough between flights so that we can clear customs in DFW and make it to our connection gate?
That is barely enough time if everything goes perfectly.
I have to recheck my bags. If I land at 3:53, will I have time to get bags and recheck for 4:40 flight? They are two seperate tickets.
No, that's not enough time. Are both flights on AA?
Hi I'm a visitor coming from NRT on flight AA 60 then connect to AUS on flight 2557, there is a 2 hours 45 mins in between flights, will that be enough to go through Immigration and US custom and recheck my bags? Is there a place to drop of my bags after US custom clearance or do I have to take my bags to The ticket counter to recheck my bags?
This is my first time at DFW POA, I'm not sure if it like ORD.
Thank You
Yes, that is enough time. Yes, there is a desk right after customs where you can re-check your bags. DFW is easier than ORD even though it is a bit bigger.
Zap, Thank You very much
