This Tuesday (Aug 16th) I will be going from Jakarta,Indonesia to Tokyo, Japan to Dallas Fort Worth to Greensboro NC. I'm confused about my luggage situation from Tokyo to Dallas and then my domestic flight. Do I need to collect my luggage? or is it handled for me? I know i have to go through customs, but I'm very confused about what I do from there.
Your bags will be tagged to Greensboro, but in DFW, You will arrive in Terminal D, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate on the Skylink train.
I am flying from Puerto Vallarta (PVR) to DFW on AA then on to LHR on BA, we have a 1:35 hour connecting time. We can check our bags all the way through in PVR, however I was told by AA that we may have to collect our bags in DFW and then go through customs. Is that correct and therefore would we have enough connecting time?
Yes, you may have to claim your bags in DFW. You will have to go through US Immigration, customs, and security. This is a very difficult connection.
I m not a US citizen and will be leaving US from DFW, Do I have to go through immigration ?
There is no US Immigration for anybody when leaving the US. You just show your passport to the airline as you board your departing flight and they note your departure to USCBP.
good afternoon, I am traveling this Saturday from CHI to DFW, then I have to get in a plane to go to Mexico City, do I have to go thru security and customs in DFW? I have three hours layover, thanks
There is no US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do in DFW is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Skylink train connects all gates inside security. You have plenty of time.
Hi! We'll flight from london to Lima through Dallas. When we'll arrive in Dallas we'll have to check our baggage and pass the custom or we could go directly to the departure gate?
In DFW you will go through US Immigration, Customs, and Security. You should not have to do anything with your bags since you're on an International to International connection with both flights on AA (if your flight from London is operated by BA you may have to claim your bags).
How do I go to international terminal arrivals
It's in Terminal D. If you don't have checked bags you can take the Skylink to Terminal D and then exit security and meet your friend at the exit of customs on the arrivals level. If you have checked bags and you want to meet your friend then you will have to take a shuttle bus to Terminal D after you get your bags.
I'll be arriving from London to DFW at 720 and my flight outof DFW is at 850. Will that be enough time to go through customs? What is my process if I end up missing it? Go to a desk and get on another flight? This was all booked on the same ticket so I assume American will help with that.
That's barely enough time if everything goes perfectly. Yes, if you miss your connection you will go to a customer service desk and they will rebook you on the next available flight to your destination.
I a, traveling from Turks and Caicos (prov) to Dallas. Where will I go through customs? Trying to plan time of arrival
In Dallas (assuming that is your first stop in the US) you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, and go through US Customs.
I am traveling from Turks and Caicos to Dallas. Where will I go through customs? Thank you
i have nexus/global entry. Is a 2 hour layover enough time to clear immigration and get to my gate
Yes, that should be enough time as long as your flight from Puerto Vallarta is on-time.
