  • Is 40 minutes enough to catch another seperately bought flight?
    Sep 3, 2015
    1
I am going to fly with United airlines from Omaha to Denver. I will arrive at 07:07. The next flight to San Francisco will be again with United airlines at 07:55. The tickets are bougt seperately, not a connected flight. There is about 40 minutes between 2 flights. Is this time enough to catch the next flight with a carry-on baggage and also a checked baggage?

Contact United and have your two tickets joined on the same reservation. That way you can have your bags checked to SFO. Otherwise it will be impossible with checked bags. Without checked bags you can probably make it even if you don't join your two bookings, but you will have to print off both your boarding passes before you leave Omaha.

Flying out of Colorado Springs via United/United Express in December. Catching a flight with United with a 48 minute layover. Is this enough time to catch my flight? (Carry on luggage only)

Yes, that should be plenty of time. All United and United Express flights are on concourse B.

If I am dropped off at the eastern terminals (Southwest), but I am flying out of the western terminals (American Airlines), will I be able to move with my skis and luggage? Or is that a bad idea?

Yes, it's possible, it's just two sides of the same building.

  • Connection time Concourse B Denver

United flights - incoming usually in gates 80-90 range. Outgoing flight usually in 60-70 range. Which is a long concourse with lots of stairs and walking. Can we make a 37 minute connection? I am slow walker and we have to wait for gate-checked bags. Will our checked bags make the connection?

It's possible but it obviously doesn't leave a lot of room for any delays.

I'm arriving from Santa Ana at Terminal B and have a connection flight to Germany in Terminal A. Layover is only 59 mins. Is that enough?

A and B are just concourses. Just take the underground train between them. You have enough time.

how long will it take to get from b94 to b17? I have 30 minutes between flights (if flight #1 is on time). I'm a bit nervous I will miss my connection.

you can walk from one end of B to the other in about 15 minutes at a leisurely pace.

  • 30 minute connection time?

Hello, I would be arriving into Denver at 7:40am (from NC) and need to catch a connection at 8:10am (to SLC). Both are Frontier flights. That is 30 minutes, will I have enough time to get from one frontier gate to the other? I will not have any baggage or anything. Are all Frontier gates in the same terminal in Denver? Thanks so much for any swift replies, I do appreciate the help!

Denver only has one terminal, all Frontier gates are near each other. You should have enough time as long as the first flight is on-time.

  • 1 hour and 20 minute layover long enough to get from gate A to C

Is 1 hour and 20 minute layover long enough to get from gate A to C with check baggage? Flying in on Frontier and flying out on Southwest.

No, that's not enough time because you can't just go straight from A to C if you have checked baggage. You will have to go to the main terminal, claim it, re-check it with Southwest, and then go back through security and to C.

  • Will I have enough time

I fly in on Frontier at 7:15 and Depart on Southwest at 8:40.. I will I have enough time to catch the 8:40 flight? Thanks so much!

Only if you don't have checked baggage and check-in online and print your boarding pass for your southwest flight before you leave on your Frontier flight.

Is 45 minutes enough to connect between two South West flights arriving on gate C16 and departing on gate C25? Cannot locate gates C16 and C25 on the concourse C map.

Yes, that should be plenty of time. It should take you less than 5 minutes to go between gates.

I am looking at a flight on United from Las Vegas traveling to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on Air Canada. I have a 1 hour layover in Denver but I am uncertain if this will be enough time to get through customs and catch my flight. What is your thoughts?

You do not go through US Customs when exiting the US. All you have to do in Denver is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both on concourse B. you have enough time. You will go through Canadian Immigration and Customs when you get to Winnipeg.

Awesome! Thanks for much for your help!

Will 45 mins be enough if my flight UA730 arrives 10:32 am, and my connecting UA579 leaves 11:17 a.m.? We (3 adults) will have checked bags.

Yes, that is plenty of time if the first flight is on-time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both on concourse B.

I am flying through Denver with a 50 minute connection - coming in from Toronto on United (Air Canada operated by United), then connecting to United (Skywest dba United Express. Is 50 minutes enough time to make the connection?

Yes, that should be enough time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto and all you have to do in Denver is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both in concourse B.

Thank you! So I will arrive concourse B even though the incoming flight is "Air Canada operated by United"? I am worried that I may have to go from the A to B concourse.

Yes, you will arrive in concourse B because it is operated by United.

Thank you so much! This forum is a wonderful resource for nervous travellers like me, I appreciate you taking the time to help.

  • Baggage cheked at gate?

Hi, I understand with a small aircraft (CRJ-700) that I will most likely need to check my carry-on luggage at the gate. What happens to it - do I get it returned to me at the gate of the destination? How do I retrieve it? The purpose of my carry-on is to have my next day's clothes, etc with me in case my checked luggage gets detoured. Also have a connection to make 1 hour later so I need to ensure I have my carry-on! Thank you.

Gate checked baggage with the bright Green tags is claimed at the gate of your flight when it arrives, they bring it onto the jet bridge usually.
