  • sufficient layover?

Arriving in Denver from Sacramento on UAL410, connecting thru to Winnipeg on UAL5238. One hour layover. Is this enough time, and will luggage be checked thru to Winnipeg?

Yes, your baggage will be checked through to Winnipeg so all you will have to do in Denver is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate, which will both be on Concourse B. If your flight from Sacramento is on-time you'll have plenty of time.

  • connecting flight at denver

We arrive on a united flight from fort mcmurray and connect to cancun. We have 1 hour before the connecting departs. Because both flights are at concourse B with united. Do we have to pickup our bags or are they transferred for us.? Will we have time to go through customs and security?

You will have to clear Customs and Border Protection with all of your luggage and then recheck it.

Will we have time to make the connection (Denver) if this is this case? I am travelling with a toddler and infant as well.

You may be cutting it close. I would suggest you contact United to discuss. 1-800-UNITED-1 Also, I would let the flight staff know your situation and see if there is any way they can assist you. Best suggestion is to travel with carry-ons only... but with a toddler and infant I can see how that might now be able to happen.

Your Ft. McMurray flight will not arrive in Concourse B, it will arrive in Concourse A because you have to clear US immigration in Denver. You will then have to claim your baggage, go through customs, and re-check your bags, then go back through security and take the train to concourse B for departure. You will have a tough time doing that in an hour.

Ok I chatted with United and they insist they have given my the time required to make the connection, but I dont see it. I would have been happy to rebook, but they insist the time for the connection meets their requirements.

    Did you make it

  • United to Delta connection in 70 mins?
    Jan 7, 2014

Will United be labelling through when I connection from United to Delta? I am looking at a flight Salt Lake City-Denver with United, 70 mins connection time, Denver-Detroit-Amsterdam with Delta. Will I be going through customs in Salt Lake City, Denver or Detroit?

On your way to Amsterdam you will only go through customs in Amsterdam. All your domestic flights are domestic flights and don't require going through customs. United and Delta do have an interline baggage agreement, however, they usually won't transfer bags to each other unless all your flights are purchased on a single reservation. Leaving only 70 minutes to collect bags from United and re-check with Delta is pushing what's possible in my opinion. It would be possible, but not leave much room for any delays.

I will be flying in from Orlando and will be making a connection flight to Durango. I have 40 minutes in between flights. Should I have sufficient time?

If your first flight is on-time that will be enough time (assuming both flights are on United). All United and United Express flights use the B concourse at DEN.

  • Calgary, Alberta to DEN to Kansas City, MO

I am traveling to Kansas City by Delta Airlines with a layover in Denver. I am unsure of what terminal I arrive in and which one I depart from. I will have just a carry on and will have cleared US Customs at Calgary International. I also have some mobility issues. Is there help available?

I will be flying United, not Delta

Denver only has one terminal. All United gates in Denver are on the same concourse - concourse B. If you need assistance you should request wheelchair assistance by calling United before your flight.

  • Colorado Springs to San Diego with 51 min connection in Denver

I will be connecting through Denver on Feb 27 2014 coming from Colorado Springs on a United Express flight and changing plans to a United Flight Is 51 minutes going to be enough time?

Yes, that should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. All United and United Express flights are located in the same concourse at DEN.

You will arrive at & depart from Denver's Jeppeson Terminal, Concourse B (Concourse B has gates B15 - B37 and B38 - B60 with extensions to both gates B80 - B95 and B59 - B79 on ither side of the center). You have enough transfer time.

The staff in my area were young and seemed more interested in their conversations than helping travelers on a schedule. I ordered an omelet and the mushrooms had such a strange taste i worried enough they were bad that i picked them all out and hope i was wrong.

  • 1 hour to get from Air Canada terminal, customs, and United flight.
    Dec 4, 2013

Flying Air Canada from Regina Sask, is one hour enough time to get our bags, go through customs, and reach our connecting United flight to Cancun Mex.? And / or what if we don't check any baggage?

Air Canada does not fly from Regina to Denver, your flight is on United Express (if it is a nonstop). 1 hour will be very difficult. You arrive in concourse A, have to go over a pedestrian bridge to the main terminal, go through US Immigration, claim baggage, go through customs, re-check baggage, and go back through security, then take the underground train to concourse B and to your gate. It will be very hard to do that in an hour unless your flight from Regina is early. If you miss your connection you will be rebooked to Cancun via another route, probably through Houston.

Thank you, do you think we would have a better chance if we did not check any baggage? If we miss our connecting flight is there any expense related to that?

If you don't check baggage it may save you 5-10 minutes, which could be the difference. No, if you are unable to make your connection the airline is required to rebook you free of charge.

Thanks again, and have a great day!

  • 1 hr 5 min - connecting to Mex flight - enough time?
    Dec 4, 2013

We have a flight from Iowa on Frontier to Den with only 1 hr 5 min to get through customs and back onto a Frontier flight to Puerto Vallarta. Does anybody have experience with this and will we be able to do it?

You will not have to go through customs in Denver on the way to Mexico. All you will have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate, which will be on the same concourse and fairly close together. You will go through Mexican Immigration when you get to Mexico.

I am flying from Regina sk Canada to San Jose Costa Rica with a 1hr11min lay over in Denver. Will this be enough time to clear customs and make my flight?

Yes, but you will have to hurry. You will arrive in the A concourse and then follow escalators to the upper level of the pedestrian bridge to the main terminal. There you will go through US immigration, claim your baggage and clear customs. You can then re-check your bags and take the underground train to concourse A if you are on the nonstop flight to SJO on Frontier or Concourse B if you're connecting in Houston to take United. It's a pretty tight connection but you should be OK if your first flight is on-time. However, if you miss your connection I don't know how you'll get to San Jose because Frontier only flies from Denver to San Jose a few times a week.

I'm looking at flying United from Regina to San Antonio with connectiion in Denver - just wondering how much time is needed in Denver to clear US immigration and make connection

Probably about 60-90 minutes is enough connection time. There aren't many International flights at Denver so it probably shouldn't take too long.

  • Flying from Edmonton, Canada, connecting through Denver, to San Jose
    Nov 12, 2013

I'm a NZ passport holder. I'll fly from Edmonton, Canada to San Jose by United with a connection through Denver. I only have 45 min connection time. Will I need to go through US customs at Denver? Or do I need to recheck my bag again?

You will pre-clear US immigration in Edmonton. Your arrival in Denver will be like a domestic flight so there you will just have to go from gate to gate, which will both be on the same concourse.

flying in on United from Honolulu at 8:44AM and need to take SW flight to Phoenix at 9:10. Is 25 mins enough to get on SW flight?? I think i need to get from Terminal B to Terminal C... THX!'

forgot to mention i will have no luggage

You will have to change concourses. I really don't think that's enough time. You will absolutely have to check-in online for your Southwest flight and print out your boarding pass before you leave Honolulu if you want to have any chance of making that connection. If there are any delays on your Honolulu flight, you will miss the connection.

Also, yes, you will arrive in B and depart from C. They are connected inside security by an underground train.

  • Flying from Calgary, Canada, connecting through Denver to Newark

Hi I have a quick questions. I am a Uk passport holder and I am flying from Canada - Calgary to Newark, with a connection through Denver. I have 1 hour 35 mins connection time. Will I go through customs at Calgary? Or will I need to do it when I get to Denver? Will an hour and a half be enough time to make this connection? Will I also have to recheck my bag? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

You will pre-clear US immigration in Calgary. Your arrival in Denver will be like a domestic flight. You won't have to do anything with your bag in Denver. Assuming both flights are on United, they will all be on the same concourse.
