  • connection time from Toronto to John Wayne Airport

My mother is travelling from Toronto via Denver to Orange County (John Wayne) with a connection time of 55 minutes on Dec. 21. Is this connection time long enough? She walks slowly due to a knee condition. Any information about arrival and departure terminals would be welcome as well. Thank you!

I have a 7:22am arrival on United and 7:56 departure on United at Denver airport. I am only bringing carry on. Will I have enough time?

Yes, all United flights are on concourse B. All you have to do is walk from one gate to the other.

Hi, I fly from Calgary to Detroit with a 1 hour layover in Denver. Is that enough time (if my flight is on time) or do I have to go through customs which could possibly make me miss my connection?

As YYC offers US Customs Clearance & US Transfer baggage, one hr transfer is sufficient. For more airport information, I suggest you open www.ifly.com/den, click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text.

Calgary has US Immigration and Customs preclearance so all you have to do in Denver is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

I have a half hour connection time in Denver. Both flights are the smaller crj 700 aircraft. Will we have a problem with the connection?

That should be enough time if your first flight is on-time, but obviously doesn't leave much time to spare.

Hi! Flying out tomorrow, Tuc-Den-Nrt via United. We only have 1 hour layover in Denver, both our gates, arrival and departure, is in B gates. We are wondering where if we we need to pass thru immigration in Denver and if 1 hour will be sufficient given that we have checked in bags. Thank you so much in advance for the response.

No, you do not go through US Immigration when leaving the US. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have plenty of time.

    Thank you so much!

What would I need to do in Denver taking a United flight from SAF Municipal Airport to DEN to PVR? Would I collect luggage outside security and recheck it? Is 2:30 plenty of time?

On your way to PVR all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both on the B Concourse, 2 hrs 30 mins is plenty of time.

  • Connection - LGA / DEN / HDN - 36 minutes

Had booked flights with a one hour transfer window, but United has changed the schedule... so just wanting to check the following will allow enough transfer time at Denver - arrive on UA1607 from LGA then have a 36 minute layover until departing on UA3886 to HDN? We'll have checked baggage as well.

Yes that is enough time but doesn't leave muc time to spare fore delays. Bot flights will be on concourse B.

Thanks for your help. It's in Feb so given weather could easily cause delays, I changed the flights. Means we end up with a 2 hour stopover in Denver, but United didn't charge me to change the reservation, given it was due to the schedule change.

Planning to fly United from Rapid City SD to Jackson Hole WY on UA3867 and have 51 minutes to connect with UA5497. Do we have to re-check bags and go through security. Is 50 min enough time to make this transfer? Thanks.

No you don't have to do anything with your bags or go through security. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate which will be near each other in the same concourse.

Dec 14/14 We arrive from Regina,sk into denver and have 1hr&15min to catch next connection to Chicago. I understand we will need to clear US costoms and go thru security again. Will this be enough time? All flights are with United. I understad Denver has electronic kiosks to help with this...

Yes, it should be enough time but it doesn't leave much time to spare for delays.

We have this same situation only its 1hr 28mins. Just curious how you made out? Was it enough time?

Flying Toronto to Hawaii with a one hour (exact) layover in Denver. Is that reasonable to get make the connecting flight to Hawaii? Or is it going to be too tight for time? All flights are with United. Thanks!

Yes, that should be enough time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Toronto. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate which will both be on the B Concourse

I am flying from Atlanta on Frontier with a carry-on bag. I have an hour to get to the next flight on United to Vancouver BC. Will I have to go back through security, or can I go directly to the gate assuming I have a mobile boarding pass for the United flight.

You can go directly to your departure gate via the underground train.

  • Southwest 40 minute connection

Flying Southwest through DEN on a Wednesday afternoon with a 40 minute connection. I've not flown through DEN before - are all of the Southwest gates located in the same terminal? Inbound flight is from Burbank/BUR so I'm hoping for less chance of a late arrival. I can run between gates for sure, just trying to scope out in advance how much time I might have. Thanks.

DEN only has one terminal and nearly all of Southwest's gates are on Concourse C. 40 minutes should be plenty of time if your first flight is on-time.

Thank you ZAP, really appreciate your response ! Feeling better now for sure.

ZAP or others, I saw on flightaware that the Southwest flight 3147 from DEN to JAX sometimes departs from an A concourse gate instead of a C gate. Any idea how soon the gates are assigned for the inbound and outbound flights? And, is the train/tram between concourses pretty quick if I end up flying out of an A gate? Thanks.

Gates are assigned the day of the flight. Yes, the train is quite fast. Should take less than 10 minutes if you happen to arrive or depart from A.

Thanks again ZAP - worked out great on outbound - both were C gates (into C46, out of C26), plus which we landed fifteen minutes early - more than enough time between. Thank you very much for helping me out with this !

Arrive in Concourse B20 at 6:09pm (due to a canceled flight, and a delayed flight) and my transfer is at 6:35pm B52, is that enough time to walk? I know it's large airport in terms of sq footage, that enough time to walk or should I book it?

Yes, that should be enough time if the first flight is on-time. It's only about a 5-10 minute walk.

Hi! I am flying with United from Newark to Denver and from Denver to Calgary. The connection lasts 40 min. Arrival and departure in the same terminal B. Do I understand it right that I am going through Canadian immigration in Calgary, not in Denver ? Do you think the connection time is okay? thanks

Yes, you go through Canadian Immigration in Calgary. You should have enough time if your first flight is on-time. All United gates in Denver are on Concourse B.
