Coleman Young DET Airport Overview

Coleman Young International Airport DET (a/k/a Coleman Young Municipal Airport) serves as a regional airport and is a port-of-entry facility with U.S. Customs and Immigration services. 
The Airport is located within the ciy of Detroit, Michigan, close to Interstate Hwy 95 (Exit 220b, go north to DET Airport; or Gatiot Ave. to Connor, go north to DET Airport).

With two runways, the airport has presently no commercial air traffic - it is only used for GENERAL AVIATION purposes.

The passenger terminal at Coleman Young Airport is 53,000 sq.feet in size, and offers food & drink, as well as retail concessions, a passenger lounge and IS Customs facility. . Rental car counters for Enterprise and Hertz are located in the arrivals area.

Parking options at Coleman Young Airport include a short- and long-term lot. The short-term parking lot at Coman Young Airport - which has recently completed its major renovation, is adjacent to the south end and its long-term parking lot is adjacent to the north end of the passenger terminal.

To get from Coleman Young Airport to your destination, you can rent a car, or take a taxi. Taxi fees to/fr. downtown Detroit are a third of what you would pay using Detroit Metro Airport, with lesser travel time.
