I have a six hour layover with flight leaving from North Terminal can I use the Delta Lounge in McNamara before my flight?

    No, you can't.

Hi, Im going from PHX-DTW-YYZ I only have an 1h 10min connection time at DTW all flights are with Delta is that enough time? and do i need to go through customs? Thanks

Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. There is no US customs when leaving the US. You go through Canadian Immigration and Customs in Toronto.

I'm flying in with Delta from Amsterdam at 2 p.m. and have a flight to Tampa at 3:37 p.m. also with Delta. Is this enough time for me to make my connection?

That is just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

  • Holiday travel - checked bag on United

Flying from DTW to DEN on United this Friday, 12/23 - flight leaves at 4:40pm. About how much time will it take to check a bag? (Thinking of taking the Michigan Flyer to the airport but the only time I can book is to arrive at 3:20 - not sure if that is enough time)

  • "Re-check desk" US Immigration

I'm departing Korea to final destination, Baltimore, connecting via DTW. Based on other posts, I understand I need to claim my checked-in baggage, go through immigration & customs, then check my bags at "re-check" desk... Is this process and re-check desk all where the gates are? That is, I don't have to exit the gate area to claim my bags. just wondering if this "re-check" process is simpler or I need to exit the gate area entirely and check my bags again as if I'm doing that for first time.

No, the process takes place at the base of the terminal. You will exit the gate area entirely. The re-check desk will be right after you exit customs, on the lower level, you will then go up to the upper level to go through security and to your departure gate.

  • Layover in AMS

I have a flight from Edinburgh, Scotland to Houston with a 1:20 layover in AMS. Is this enough time? I am guessing I need to go through immigration, customs, etc?

All you have to do in AMS is go through US Security questions and to your departure gate. Since you are not entering the Schengen Area you do not have to go through Immigration in Amsterdam.

  • Level and concourse where to claim baggage

I am connecting from GRU-DTW- MIA both with Delta . Where are located the levels and concourses of mine Imigration/CPB booths, luggage claimand TSA screening checks and re-checks ?

Everything will be in the McNamara Terminal and is quite intuitive. You just follow the signs. You will both arrive and depart from the A concourse.

  • Construction at DTW delta terminal on Labor day weekend

I guess it is very hard to schedule construction at DTW terminal, why would someone schedule construction at the arrival gates on one of the busiest holidays on labor day weekend

Labor day is not one of the busiest holidays.

what terminal does Endeavor Air DBA Delta Connection usually arrive at. Its coming from CWA in Wisconsin

This flight will be operated one of our CRJ-200 aircraft, so there's a good chance you'll deplane in the B or C concourse. It's a short stroll through the tunnel to make your connection on a mainline flight. Safe travels!

That is in the McNamara Terminal.

  • How bad are the lines?

Hi, I've heard that TSA lines are insane across the US right now, up to 3 hours long at certain airports. I'll be flying out of DTW in 1 week, over Memorial Day weekend, to Phoenix. I'm using Frontier airlines and checking 1 bag; departure is 5:21pm. How early should I arrive?

Arriving around 3:30 PM should be fine. DTW is not as bad as most other airports and Memorial Day isn't actually a very busy air travel holiday.

  • Clearing Customs
    May 23, 2016

Does anyone know if i have to use the Custom Clearance brokers to receive some personal items also do i have to pay anything for Airport customs. I'm moving to US and I want to ship my belonging, its all personal things mostly used (clothes, shoes, books, some other things (no furniture and no electronics and no food).

You won't have to pay customs brokers or duty to import your personal belongings to the US. You do not have to pay any money at immigration and customs - all those fees are included in your ticket.

I'm sending these items through a shipment company, its not included in the ticket

Then why are you asking on an airport forum? That's a question to ask your shipping company/broker.

  • Stopover time AMS-DTW-MCO

We are travelling from Amsterdam (AMS) to DTW and arrives at 13.28. Our next flight to Orlando (MCO) leaves at 15.30 so we got 2 hours, hopefully we have no delay. We that be enough?

Assuming both flights are on Delta, yes, that is enough time. You will arrive, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags, and go through security and to your departure gate.
