I am stopping at DTW airport on December 17th. The two planes I booked are both from Delta, but the layover time is just 1h 14min. Would that be enough time for me to stop in the airport? Thank you!
Where are you flying into DTW from?
I am a first item flyer and I will be flying Delta from Tulsa, Oklahoma and I will have a 40 minute layover in Detroit. Where I will then fly to Indianapolis. Is it possible to get on my sexism flight in 40 minutes or is that pushing it?
Hi! this will be my first time using Delta. i will travel from O Hare to Detroit (DL1319)on Aug 29th, will have 1 hour and 37 minutes to my next flight to Narita (DL275). Do you think I can make through immigration check and security with this time. Will it be a troublesome if I have a checked baggage? Or do you recommend me to just have a carry on baggage? Thanks!
There is no US Immigration when leaving the US. All you have to do in Detroit is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both on concourse A of the McNamara Terminal. You have plenty of time.
Thanks for your reply. I see , so if I have checked baggage, I do not have to wait, take my baggage, and drop again for the next flight?
Correct, you don't have to do anything with your bags in Detroit when leaving the country.
I have 1hr 35 minutes layover time from landing on a Virgin flight from London and then taking a Delta flight to St Louis MO. Is this enough time to make it?
That's just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
we have 1 hour layover in Detroit to catch montreal flight . Is that enough time to move from domestic to international.
If both flights are on Delta then all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. There is no separate "International" secion.
My question is a little different to most

I have a 6hr 20 minutes layover from landing on a Virgin flight in Detroit to leaving on a Delta flight to Knoxville.... given that 1.5 hours will see us clear immigration and recheck.... is it possible to leave the airport for 2 to 3 hours? if if yes... any suggestion on some we could do in this short time frame?
DTW is very far from pretty much anything worth seeing. As boring as it might be, you're best off just staying at the airport.
I'll be flying from Paris on Air France and have a connecting flight exactly one hour later to Minneapolis on Delta. Will I have enough time?
1 Hour is really less time than I'd recommend for an International to domestic connection, even at an easy airport like DTW. It's not impossible, but it depends on the flight from Paris arriving a bit early and there being very short lines in order for you to make it.
I have a connecting flight from Columbus to Seoul with delta through Detroit. Do I have to claim my bags, recheck in, etc in DTW to get to my ICN flight?
CMB is Colombo, Sri Lanka. Columbus, Ohio is CMH. No you don't have to claim your bags in Detroit on your way to Seoul. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Oh sorry for the typo. I really appreciate you quick response thank you!
Hi. I am taking Delta Airline from Manila to O'Hare via Detroit. Will arrive Detroit at 2pm and my flight to O'Hare is at 3:20pm. Do I have sufficient time for immigration, claiming of baggage, customs, and re-checking of baggage? Thank you very much.
It leaves no time to spare.
Hi, my mom's flight is from Charlotte, NC to Detriot to Shanghai, China, both flights are Delta. She has 2 hours connecting time but she cannot speak any English. I understand she doesn't need pick up any luggage or pass any customs, but does she need pass any security check in again at Detroit airport? Or she just need walk from arrival gate to departure gate, does she need take any shuttle or train to get to the departure gate? Thanks!
She doesn't have to go through security. All she has to do is walk from her arrival gate to her departure gate.
