My son is traveling from Rochester NY to Denver Colorado with hour and a half layover in Detroit. Are gates usually near each other or clear across the terminal? If he asked when he gets off plan for someone to take him to his gate is that possible?
How young is he. If he isn't a small child then he shouldn't have any trouble finding his gate. The Delta terminal in Detroit is very simple.
He is 20....but a little challenged. Ok thank you.
I've never been through DTW. I am flying in on Delta with a 35 min layover connection on Endeavor Air. Both have delta flight numbers but I know Endeavor is a subsidiary so not sure if it operates out of the same terminal. Will this be enough time between flights in January? We will be traveling with 3 young children.
Yes, it is in the same terminal. Both of your gates will probably close to each other. You have enough time if the first flight is on-time.
I've never been to DTW, haven't flown in quite a long time and a nervous wreck on if I'm going to make it or not especially in December. I will be flying from BDL (Hartford, CT) to SAN (San Diego, CA) on December 7th, 2017 (Thursday) with a stop in DTW.
My first plane(from BDL) is due to arrive at DTW at 7:48 AM and the next plane (to SAN) is scheduled to depart at 8:44 AM. Will 56 minutes be long enough to get from (worst case scenario) end to end?
Yes, that is enough time. You can get between any two Delta gates in Detroit in 15 minutes or less.
My parents are arriving in DTW from overseas, with 1 hour 30 minutes to catch next flight to Orlando, FL. Both are Delta flights. Would this be enough time? Also, do they need to check-in (going through TSA) again after Custom clearance upon arrival? Thank you!
They will have to go through US Immigration, claim their bags, go through US Customs, re-check their bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to their departure gate. They have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
