Layover of 35 minsFeb 13, 201320I'm flying from Columbus, Ohio to Toronto with layover time of 35 minutes. Both flights are Delta. Is that enough time? Do I have to go through security check in Detroit?SAMposted on Tue, Feb 12[ Reply ][ Like ]No, you will not have to go through security in Detroit. All Delta gates in Detroit are connected beyond security. It's a tight connection so your first flight will need to be on-time, but if it is 35 minutes is enough.ZAPposted on Tue, Feb 12

Layerover time 34mins :C32 and A31Jan 16, 201340Will arrive at gate C32 and within 34mins have to catch my connection to Chicago O'Hare at Gate A31. Is this possible to do or will I miss the connection? Are there TSA screening points between C32 and A31vnck25posted on Tue, Jan 8At DTW, Concourse has C1 through C43 and a connector to Concourse A: Concourse A has 1.5 miles of moving walkways. Concourse A has to the left gates A38-A1; to the right gates A40-78, and at its center the tunnel connecting to Concourse B to the left and Concourse C to the right.wedec13posted on Wed, Jan 9In view of what you have stated, do you think I have sufficient time (31 mins. ) to catch the connecting flight?vnck25posted on Wed, Jan 9It's enough time if your first flight is on time. Delta 1 hour 20 min layover DTW to DCDec 19, 201220International flight from Monterrey (Mexico) to DTW and then connected from DTW to DC. And I have only 1 hour 20 minutes. Does someone knows at what place is located the passport control, and if it's near to the pick up luggage and near to the customs clearance, and near to the re-check-in bags for connecting flight. Suggestions please?FJVillarrealposted on Wed, Dec 19Your arrival & departure depends on which airlines you take. Flight InfoDec 14, 201220I am flying into Detroit out of Toronto Pearson on a Saturday. I am going on to Los Angelos. Will my stopover of only 100 mins. be enough time to catch my flight when I am not familiar with this airport. Please help if you can. Thanksbmposted on Thu, Dec 6Glad to oblige! 1. If using different airlines, make sure your bags are automatically being transferred - if not, you would have to check them in at their airline counter before proceeding to your next gate. 2. Use Toronto's U.S. customs clearance, saving you time at DTW. 3. Detroit has two terminals - the McNamara with A, B & C gates, and the North Terminal with D gates. Your ticket and the overhead screens on arrival will indicate your connecting gate. For transfer options, and terminal details, click on www.ifly.com/dtw, and click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS, then scroll down to the detailed text below the map. Your time will suffice.thdec12posted on Thu, Dec 6

1:30 enough to fly out internationally?Dec 6, 201210I have a domestic flight into Detroit via Delta @ Terminal M. My outbound international flight is by Air France also @ Terminal M. Will an hour and a half be enough since I do not have to do customs? Please help! I appreciate your effort!sjpposted on Wed, Dec 5Delta uses the McNamara Terminal which has Concourses A, B & C, with corresponding gates. Note that Concourse A of McNamara has 1.5 miles of moving walkways, but also uses the Express Tram serving 3 stations - the South station near gate A11, the Terminal station in the center near the water feature, and the North station near gate A67. 3. Concouses B (left) & C (right) can only be reached from Concourse A, at its center, by using the tunnel. Note: C gates C1-C7 are on the lower level, reached in the center of B/C via escalator. Your boarding pass and the overhead screen will indicate flight and gate number. Only international arrivals need to go through customs procedure. You have plenty of time!thdec12posted on Thu, Dec 6

31 Min LayoverOct 31, 201211I have a Delta flight that is arriving at DTW at 9:29am tomorrow and my connection to Charleston is a Delta flight leaving at 10am. Based on what I know from looking at these flights' histories, the plane will land at gate A and my connection will be at gate c7. Is 31 minutes enough time to make my flight??AAOposted on Wed, Oct 31On Arrival at the McNamara Terminal of DTW Airport, keep in mind that Concourse A has 1.5 miles of moving walkways. Also, the Express Tram stops at the South station near gate A11, the Terminal station in the center near the water feature, and the North station near gate A67. Concourse A has to the left gates A38-A1; to the right gates A40-78, and at its center the tunnel connecting to Concourse B to the left and Concourse C to the right. Concourse C has gates C1-C43 on opposite sides - and the elevator between Concourses B & C leads to the Lower Level gates C1 to C7 (your connecting gate).weoct12posted on Wed, Oct 311 person likes this post [ Like ]

Is 1h20mn enough for a layover?Nov 6, 201221I'm flying with Delta from Paris (CDG) to DTW and then to Chicago Midway (MDW) on December. I have a 1h20mn layover in DTW. Knowing that I need to go through passport check, get my luggage, go through customs, check-in my luggage again and that i might be quite crowded at this time of the year, will I have enough time catch the plane to Chicago?Remposted on Wed, Oct 31Your arrival at, and departure from DTW Airport depends on which airlines you are using, and whether you need to transfer between McNamara & North Terminals. I strongly suggest you open www.ifly.com/dtw, then click on "Terminal Map" under QUICK LINKS, and scroll down to the detailed text. Customs clearance itself can take anywhere from 35-65 mins.weoct12posted on Wed, Oct 31If coming from Paris you will be arriving into the McNamara terminal. if your flight to MDW is on Delta, then you just need to recheck after customs and then go upstairs, the across to the other concourse for your flight to MDW. This is doable if your flight from Paris is on time. If your flight to MDW is on Southwest you will have to go to the North Terminal with your bags and recheck at the Southwest ticket counter in the North Terminal. I highly recommend that you rebook for a later flight if your DTW-MDW flight is on SouthwestZAPposted on Tue, Nov 61 person likes this post [ Like ]

1.5hr enough for international flight?Oct 10, 201210I'm flying from Shanghai, China to DTW and then to JFK. Both are Delta. I have 1.5hrs layover. Is that enough for me to go through the custom? Thank you.madakangposted on Wed, Oct 10On arrival at DTW - McNamara Terminal, you go through passport check, pick up bags, go through customs clearance and re-check-in your bag - that should take you 35-50 mins at most; escalators take you to level 2, go through security check and on to either Concourses A, B or C (check overhead screens for your departing flight number & gate): Concourse A, reached from level 2, has 1.5 miles of moving walkways . Additionally, the Express Tram stops at the South station near gate A11, the Terminal station in the center near the water feature, and the North station near gate A67. Concourse A has to the left gates A38-A1; to the right gates A40-78, and at its center the tunnel connecting to Concourse B to the left and Concourse C to the right. Concourse B at right has gates B1-21on opposite sides. Concourse C at left has C1 through C43 on opposite sides. An elevator between Concourses B & C leads to the Lower Level gates C1 to C7.weoct12posted on Wed, Oct 10

Clear customs / change planesOct 4, 201211Later this month I will be flying to DTW from Frankfurt Germany on DELTA 143 and changing to DELTA 4039 to Toronto. Is 2 hours enough time to clear customs and get to new aircraft?jspencerposted on Thu, Oct 41. On arrival at DTW Airport at the McNamara Terminal, at lower level, you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes). You can connect to your departing gates by moving walkways or by taking the Express Tram. 2. Your connecting flight is either at Concourses A, B or C (with corresponding gate numbers) - the overhead screen on arrival and your ticket should indicate flight number and gate. Note that Concourse A has 1.5 miles of moving walkways; the Express Tram stops at its south station near gate A11, in the center near the water feature (where you would arrive from the main terminal), and at the North station near gate A67. Also, a tunnel connects A, B & C concourses. 2 hours will suffice.thoct12posted on Thu, Oct 41 person likes this post [ Like ]

CHANGE PLAANESSep 24, 201210IS 30 MIN LONG ENOUGH TO CHANGE PLANES ON DELTA FLIGHT?BUTCHposted on Mon, Sep 24While Delta uses the McNamara Terminal, I cannot tell you which gate you arrive at or depart from (A,B, or C gates). Concourse A of McNamara has 1.5 miles of moving walkways, but also uses the Express Tram serving 3 stations - the South station near gate A11, the Terminal station in the center near the water feature, and the North station near gate A67. Concourse B, gates B1-21, (left) and Concourse C, gates 1-43 (right) can only be reached from Concourse A, at its center, by using the tunnel. Note: C gates C1-C7 are on the lower level, reached in the center of B/C via escalator. Half an hour would suffice - however, if you are an international arrival and need to go through customs clearance, you would not make it.mosep2posted on Mon, Sep 24
