Hi we fly in to DTw and have 1 hour until our next flight to lhr. Is that enough time?

Yes, all you have to do in Detroit is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Hi Scotch. We're doing the same next month and I'm wondering how your transfer went; was there enough time and did you have to collect baggage or was it transferred automatically? Regards.

I am flying into Detroit on Delta , only an 43 mins between flights, Is that enough time to make a connecting delta flight to San Antonio?

If you are flying into Detroit on a domestic flight, yes, that is enough time.

Thank you, yes, I am flying in from Hartford, CT. I have never been to that airport, so a little worried not having a long layover

    It's a very simple layout.

I am flying BTV - DTW - SAN i only have 34 minutes in Detroit will I make my flight?

It's enough time if the flight from Burlington is on-time. Obviously there's no time to spare if it's not.

Is it in the same terminal - just walk to gate?? Not sure how on time the BTV flight is to DTW... :-[

Yes, all Delta flights are in the McNamara Terminal. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

I will be there on 5-Aug 2:00PM and next flight is 3:30PM. there will be 1.3hrs for me to make it. Is that time enough to make it? Do i need to know something to make it done?

Are you flying NRT-DTW-BWI? If so that is just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

We are flying delta with toddler leaving IAH connecting in Dwt to JFK with a layover of 1 hr. Will this be enough TIME? Our final destination is Israel leaving JFK 2 hours after landing. Thank you all

That is plenty of time. If both flights are on Delta all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

I'm flying into DTW landing at North terminal on American at 11:02 am My connecting flight is at McNamara Terminal on Delta Express to Pellston leaving at 12:15 pm. Is ther anyway to make that connection even if I carry my bag on?

With a carry on you might have a chance if you catch the shuttle bus perfectly, but it'll be very difficult.

  • from Seoul, Korea to Detroit, then to Houston

Hi, I am a Korean citizen who needs to fly from Seoul to Houston via Detroit airport on August 10. I am using Delta and have a 2:10 layover in Detroit. I am a bit worried whether I have enough time to go through immigration, claim my bags, and recheck them again.

That should be enough time. Detroit is an easy airport to make a connection at.

I will be traveling from AMS to DTW with 1 hour and 45 mins of layover time. Is this enough time to clear customs, catch the bus, re-check my bags and make my flight as long as the flight departs AMS on time? Thanks for your help in advance.

What airline are you flying out of DTW? DTW does not have separate international and domestic terminals - you should not have to take a bus. If both flights are on Delta you have enough time.

I would be flying Delta in and out. I'm a little confused when looking at the layout of the airport. It's my first time flying in there also. I'm used to flying in and out of ATL but wanted to try something new. One other question... So, flying in and out on Delta would I have to re-check my bags?

Yes, both of your flights will be in the McNamara Terminal. You will arrive, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate.

Sounds pretty painless and from what I have seen on previous post is that Immigration and Customs is pretty quick around mid morning. The flight will either be mid Sept or the end of Sept. Not 100% right now. Thanks for your help and the quick responses.

That should be just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

We are UK passport holders looking to book from LHR to MCO via DTW, the stop over is 1:20 is this enough time. Both flights are with Delta.

That's not impossible but leaves no time to spare if there are delays.

I will be arriving at either the b or c concourse and leaving at the a concourse. The posted arrival and departure difference is 30 minutes. What is the maximum time needed to get to the a concourse?

You can get between any two gates is 15 minutes.

I am wondering if 48 minutes is enough time for a layover flight. I am flying from Nashville to Detroit with a 48 Minute layover until my connecting flight to Minneapolis leaves. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, which shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes.

I will be having a 1h30mins layover at DTW. I will be arriving from NRT and flying to MDW. Will it be enough time to clear my student visa/visitor passport and re-check in?

You will already be checked in for both flights. in DTW you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, and go through security. You should have just enough time if your flight from Tokyo is on-time.

Hi I am flying in on Virgin from London Heathrow, first time with family in America and then connecting to Orlando with delta 1hr 9mins turn around time.is this possible, my daughter is disabled and uses a wheelchair.

No, that is not a legal International to Domestic connection time, even at an uncongested airport like DTW. You need at least 90 minutes.

Thanks zap I have spoken to Virgin and they say the minimum time is 45mins for a connection.

That is completely wrong. Whoever you are talking to clearly doesn't understand the procedures for entering the US.
