Hi, I'm flying on delta flight from Montreal to Seoul with a connection in Detroit (YUL - DTW - ICN). Layover time is 1h 28m. Is it enough?

Yes. You will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Montreal. All you have to do in Detroit is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

I have 44 minutes to change flights, will that be enough time?

Yes, that is enough time if your flight from White Plains is on-time.

Have a flight with just 51 minute layover. Usually don't like to run that tight. By looks of searching it should work. Ideas? Not many options .

Assuming both flights are Delta, Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both in the McNamara Terminal.

I am coming on Delta flight from Lexington and going to paris on Delta flight and have layover time of 55 minutes. Is it good enough time to catch connecting flight?

Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both in the McNamara Terminal.

  • Hi! Flying delta connecting DTW to Narita Japan -where is my gate?

Hi! Flying delta connecting DTW to Narita Japan -how to find my gate

Your departure gate to Tokyo will be on the A concourse of the McNamara Terminal.

Pretty easy location to find, I believe. It looks like it's gone from a few different gates recently, but it will likely be toward in the middle of McNamara A. If your arrival at DTW is on either far end of A there is a tram to take to the center. Otherwise the walk isn't normally far and there is plenty of shopping/food to waste time if you need to. Have fun on the 747.

Hello, I am flying from Chicago Midway to Frankfurt Germany with a 35 minute layover in Detroit. Will I make my connecting flight?

Yes, you can make it if your flight from Midway is on-time. Both gates should be in the A concourse of the McNamara Terminal as long as they are both on Delta.

Both flights are with Delta airlines

Yes, all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both on Concourse A of the McNamara terminal.

Am flying delta from SAT and connecting in DTW to CLT...and have 40 min between tentative landing and departure...how fast should I prep to run between gates (I've never flown thru DTW before)?

That should be enough time if your first flight is on-time.

Hi, I am flying in on Delta to Detroit for the 1st time and connecting to Indianapolis. May I know which Concourse the flight will land and which Concourse the connecting flight will be? Will appreciate if you could share where to collect luggage and check them in again. Thank you so much.

Where are you flying to Detroit from? I can't answer your question without that information.

I am flying in to Detroit from Narita, Japan.

You will arrive in the McNamara Terminal concourse A, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, and go through US Customs, then re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate, which will likely also be in Concourse A of the McNamara Terminal.

we arrive on delta from Grr to Detroit and have 30 minutes to get on next flight to tampa. Will we make it? Will they get our luggage transferred to the other plane in time?

It's possible. It obviously leaves no time to spare if the flight from Grand Rapids is delayed.

My connecting flight is listed as going out of EM terminal. What does that mean. The arriving flight says M, I get that, but not EM.

The McNamara Terminal is "EM" in Delta parlance. The M you see on the first flight likely refers to the first flight. All Delta flights use the McNamara Terminal at DTW

    Thank you Zap

I am arriving in DTW from the UK at 1:50pm and then flying out to Nashville at 3:20pm - is this sufficient time for my connection considering I have to go through customs, collect my baggage & check in again?

Ooops, I forgot to mention that the flight from the UK is Virgin Atlantic and the ongoing flight is with Delta. I believe that both airlines operate out of the McNamara terminal.

Yes, that is just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

Thanks ZAP, fingers crossed all goes smoothly!!

  • 1 Hr 15 mins layover, Enough time??

Hi, I'm having from Cincinnati to DTW and have a 1hr 15 min layover until my next flight , which is ICN Seoul. Is that enough or I shoose the one with 2h and 51 mins. Thanks

That is plenty of time. All you have to do in Detroit is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Choose the 2hr and 51 min layover. Customs is a pain in DTW.

There is no US Customs when leaving the US. Please ignore the previous poster.

I have an inbound flight from Los Angeles and an outbound flight to Amsterdam via Detroit, on Delta. Do I need to pick-up my luggage? Is it possible to get to my outbound flight in time?

You don't have to do anything with your baggage. You just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both on Concourse A of the McNamara Terminal. You have enough time if your flight from LAX is on-time. There is no US Customs when exiting the US.

Hi, Traveling on Saturday on a Virgin Atlantic flight and then on yo Knoxville via delta airlines. I have one hour 35 minutes layover between flights. I checked with Virgin and they say my baggage is through checked but I still have to collect my bags and go through customs. Then put my luggage on a transfer baggage belt? I've never heard of a transfer baggage belt is this information correct? And will I have enough time to catch the delta flight? Thanks for any help in advance.

Yes, that information is correct. Yes, you should have enough time.
