I arrive in McNamara terminal in DTW tomorrow at 4:44pm and I have my flight to Rome at 6:12pm..do you think I have enough time? what gates usually delta use ? Do I need to change terminal? Thanks
Delta uses the entire McNamara Terminal and only the McNamara terminal. The Rome flight will leave from near the center of A. If your first flight is domestic you should have enough time.
My flight is the DL 16 from Orlando and arrive in DTW at 4:44...can i make it? Thank you very much
Then both flights will be on concourse A. It shouldn't take you more than 15 minutes. You should be fine.
Thank you very much!
Hi. I'm flying from Montreal (YUL) to Phoenix with a connection flight in Detroit. I would only have 50 minutes to make the connection. Do you think that it's enough? I have a Canadian passport and my boyfriend has a French passport. Also, we will pass the US customs in the Montreal Airport and we will only have carry-ons. Also, if we happen to miss the flight, what happens ? According to a post on the forum, we're under the "limit" for connection flights with Delta. Thank you so much!
Yes, that is enough time. All you do in Detroit is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You are not under the limit because you will go through preclearance in Montreal. If you do miss your connection because the first flight is late then you will be rebooked on the next available flight to Phoenix.
Hi,

A group of five of us are flying in from London on Delta 0017, arriving at 13.13. We have a connecting flight to Las Vegas (Delta 2317) that leaves at 15.30. Any tips on terminals for the outbound flight, the quickest way to collect luggage, go through customs etc would be very helpful. We're all UK citizens, so will need to go through immigration. Thanks, A
All Delta flights in the McNamara Terminal. There's no tips necessary. Everywhere you need to go is clearly marked. You have enough time.
I am coming in on DL4287 and Leaving on DL 4578 I can't find the arrival gate for DL 4287 and concerned about making the connection. I have less then 30 min. Can you help
All Delta gates are in the McNamara terminal and both of those flights will probably be on Concourse B. You don't know your exact gates until the day of your flight.
Im arriving from Paris to detriot and have a 2 and a half hours of layover is that enough to clear customs and make it to the gate. Im mexican
Yes, that should be enough time.
I will be arriving at DTW and have one hour to get to the other terminal to board and American airline flight. Is this enough time? Does anyone have any tips that might help?
You don't have enough time. The Shuttle bus runs infrequently and takes awhile. Where are you flying into Detroit from and on what airline?
Arriving from Europe as a non-US citizen on DL139, I have 1 hr 20 mins to catch my connection DL4967. Is that enough time for claiming & rechecking my baggage?
Any tips what I can do to save time?
Just move as quickly as you can. You can make it if everything goes smoothly.
I am flying to Japan from JFK via DTW. I have a 40m layover in DTW. Is that enough time? It's a delta flight, it's all 1 ticket. I can't tell what the terminal/gates are.
Both flights will be in the McNamara Terminal. You have enough time if the first flight is on-time.
I will be traveling later this week From FLL on DL2444 and be transferring to DL2110 to SLC... I only have a 30 minute layover. Is this enough time? Are the gates relatively close?
Thank you for your time
Both flights will be on Concourse A of the McNamara Terminal. You have enough time if the first flight is on-time.
Based on previous flights on Delta's website, I'm assuming my first flight will arrive in Concourse A, and my second will leave from Concourse B. Is 80 minutes enough time, and is there a post- TSA way to connect?
Yes, A and B are connected inside security. That is plenty of time. it shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes to go between gates if the first flight is domestic.
