I will be arriving at DWT from FRA at 13:05 and final destination flight is to ORD at 14:10 all on a Saturday in September. The original connection time was 16:25 but airline cancelled and made the change. Is that enough time to claim luggage, go through customs, and make the flight to ORD?
if both flights are on Delta that is still enough time.
I will be flying from FRA on Lufthansa to ORD on an United Express. Does this still allow for enough time?
Will be arriving on Delta from IND with a 2 hour layover in DTW. I am going to ICN (Korea) on Delta but is a Korean Airlines Flight. Will I need to go thru security again or will I be able to just go gate to gate. Delta 951 in out Delta 159 .
If both flights are on the same reservation you can just go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
HI, I'm flying with Delta from San Francisco (SFO) to Boston (BOS) with a connection at DTW Detroit wayne county. I have ac checked baggage and the layover is 35 mins. 1. Would this much is sufficient to change flight ? 2. The Baggage would be transferred by Delta or do i need to get it and recheck in ? 3. Would there be additional security check again? 4. Are there chances that checked baggage may get delayed because of short layover?
That is just enough time if the first flight is on-time. You won't have to do anything with your bags or go through security in Detroit. Yes, there is a chance your bags won't make the connection because it is so short.
Thanks for the clarification. I have checked another flight option which has 1h 34m layover in Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (MSP). In this case everything should be fine with transfer , right ? and there is enough time for baggage to be transferred to another connecting flight.
I've searched through this forum and didn't see a specific answer regarding checked baggage. I will be flying YYZ to DTW with a 50 min layover, DTW to MKE. I understand I will be pre-cleared at YYZ and will not have to go through security at DTW, but will I need to claim my bag and then recheck it before getting on my plane to MKE?
No, you don't have to do anything with your bags in Detroit. You have enough time.
Hi. I'm flying from Montreal (YUL) to Phoenix with a connection flight in Detroit. I would only have 50 minutes to make the connection. Do you think that it's enough? I have a Canadian passport and my boyfriend has a French passport. Also, we will pass the US customs in the Montreal Airport and we will only have carry-ons. Also, if we happen to miss the flight, what happens ? According to a post on the forum, we're under the "limit" for connection flights with Delta. Thank you so much!
Yes, that is enough time. All you do in Detroit is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You are not under the limit because you will go through preclearance in Montreal. If you do miss your connection because the first flight is late then you will be rebooked on the next available flight to Phoenix.
A group of five of us are flying in from London on Delta 0017, arriving at 13.13. We have a connecting flight to Las Vegas (Delta 2317) that leaves at 15.30. Any tips on terminals for the outbound flight, the quickest way to collect luggage, go through customs etc would be very helpful. We're all UK citizens, so will need to go through immigration. Thanks, A
All Delta flights in the McNamara Terminal. There's no tips necessary. Everywhere you need to go is clearly marked. You have enough time.
