Traveling from international flight korea to DTW and then to DSM t Delta Airline, only 2 hours gap time upon arriving at DTW for next domestic flight to DSM. Is it sufficient time, with checked in baggage too?

Yes, that should be enough time.

Is 1h, 40m enough time at Detroit when flying in from Amsterdam and then connecting on to a small town airport? What is required at DTW with regards to customs, etc? Thanks!

In Detroit you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. You have enough time if everything goes smoothly.

  • PVG to DTW to CMH

My fiance will be flying from PVG to DTW, she will have a 2 hour 9 minute layover before flight to CMH. She is arriving on a fiance visa, so she will need to go through immigration and possibly be questioned some. Flights are with Delta.Does anyone have any experience with this to know if she will have enough time to make connection to CMH? Or if we thought she might not have enough time could i just pick her up at DTW instead of making the flight to CMH?

That should be enough time. If she has a one way flight (which if she is on a fiancee visa is probably the case), you could indeed pick her up at DTW if you wanted.

Thank you ZAP. What terminal would she be landing at in DTW. If I decide to pick her up there, will she be able to just meet me inside in arrivals waiting area somewhere?

She will arrive in the McNamara Terminal.

  • How much time to allow

Hi I'm flying on a Friday 12:15 pm flat out of McNamara terminal to Pellston , MI If I'm staying at La Quintal Airport near there, how much time should I allow from hotel, check in, check a bag, security and get to gate? Flying out on Delta Regional jet.

I would leave the hotel around 10:45 if they have a shuttle then. No later than 10:55.

I'll be traveling multiple times this year to DTW and returning home on late night Sunday flights. My first flight home is 9:55pm on a Sunday. I also have TSA pre check. How early should I arrive? Thank you!! Alison

You should be OK getting there at 8:45-9.

Hello, I'm travelling from Yerevan to Los Angeles but I have a transit flight in Detroit 1h 38 m, but I also have a green card lottery and I think that I have to hand over all the documents and pass through all the procedures. Will 1h 38m be enough for that?

Yes, that should be enough time. However, I do want to confirm - what airlines are you flying?

I AM FLYING TO JFK TOMORROW MORNING AT 8:30 FROM TERMINAL A. HOW LONG WILL THE LINE BE?

DTW doesn't have a "Terminal A". I assume you mean the McNamara Terminal? The lines are usually short. They're a bit longer in the morning through. I would plan on walking through the doors at about 7.

  • Delta transfer question

Hi, I'm flying tomorrow from SFO to DTW, arrive at 4.40, for a 5.25 flight on to LOG... is 45 min enough for an easy transfer? Do you know the gate locations, or are they all close on Delta? Will try to carry my bag... thanks for any help!

There is no such airport as "LOG". Do you mean Boston Logan airport (BOS)? If so both flights will be on Concourse A of the McNamara Terminal. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.

Hi, my parents have flights from New York to Incheon connecting Detoirt. Do they have to find their baggage at DTW?

If both flights are on Delta all they have to do on their way to Seoul is walk from their arrival gate to their departure gate.

    Thanks ZAP. Appreciate!

How to find my gate - traveling delta connecting from Narita Int. Airport to Manila Ninoy Aquino Int. Airport

Are you asking about a connection at NRT? If so all Delta flights are in the same area and you just have to walk to your departure gate.

Hi there, we have one and a half hours transfer time arriving from AMS with a Delta flight and leaving for TPA with a Delta flight. Will that be enough to go through all the obliged steps at DTW with 3 persons considering it will be our first time at DTW??

It's barely enough time if everything goes perfectly.

Thans ZAP we ll be prepared

I have an inbound flight from Los Angeles and an outbound flight to Amsterdam via Detroit, on Delta. Do I need to pick-up my luggage? Is it possible to get to my outbound flight in time?

No, you don't have to do anything with your baggage. You just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both on the A concourse of the McNamara Terminal.
