Public Transport options from Don Mueang Airport: Aside from taking a taxi, train & public buses are available to:

   The Don Mueang railway station is only 500 meters from the airport - reached by foot from level 2 of Terminal 1.  Trains run to the Hua Lumpong Railway Station at city center (a 50-minute trip) - with connections around the country. For more information tell +66 1690 .
Central Bangkok (Siam Area)
 - New Express Bus to City Center with free WiFi onboard,
departs every 30 minutes and offers two routes - one to Ploenchit - Lumpini Park, and one to Khao San Road (present fare 150 baht.
Suvanabhumi Airport - Buses 554 & 555 - a 47.5 km distance - taking between one & two hours.
Passengers needing to reach the Skytrain can take the A1 air-conditioned bus to BTS Mo Chit - departing every 15 mins (present fare 30 baht.)
NOTE:  As the domestic Terminal 1 will be closed by February/March 2016 for overhaul work, public transport by taxis or Airport Express buses serving Bangkok will be stationed at Terminal 2 during T1's closure.
