Getting from Dubai InternationalAirport to your destination:  Prebooking a taxi can be done in Terminal 1's Arrivals hall.
Special air-conditioned Airport buses accommodating baggage, serve city center's hotel areas located within walking distance from the bus stop.

By Bus:
Bus tickets are available at the Airport stations - fares depend on how many zones are traveled.   The Nl card can be charged up with credit and offers a discount on standard fares.
- RTA city buses stop opposite of all terminals. For route information open http://dubai-buses.com/index.aspx.  As you cannot pay the driver in cash, buy a rechargeable Nol card in advance at the Airport. RTA buses allow 2 pieces of baggage, including your carry-on bag.
By Train:
- The new Red Line of the Dubai Metro has rail stations in Terminals 1 & 3; while
- The Green Line of the Dubai Metro serves Terminal 2 and the north-eastern part of the Airport; it is to be the world's longest driverless metro system.  Trains run about every 10 mins, 5:50am-midnight  (5:30am on Thursday / 1am on Thurs/Fri) Fridays they start at 1pm.  Purchase the rechargeable Nol card in advance at the Airport.
By Water taxis between Buyr Dubai and Deira, across the Dubai Creek.
