Omaha Eppley Airfield OMA Airport Overview
Omaha Eppley Airfield OMA is gateway to the Midwest. Passenger traffic at the Airport has more than doubled in the last decade and the airport has undertaken several airport and roadway improvement projects to better accommodate this rapid growth.
The Airport is located on Abbott Drive (signed as Iowa Highwy 165), four miles northeast of the City of Omaha, and is the largest Airport in the State of Nebraska. Even though the Airport is located in Nebraska, west of the Missouri River, it is surrronded to the east, west & south by the state of Iowa. It is accessible by Interstate Hwys. 29 (from Sioux City), 80 (from Lincoln or Des Moines) & 480 from the South towards downtown Omaha). NOTE, however, that due to the Missouri River flooding, I-680 and 29 incurred large damage and will be out of service through much of 2012. Consult the DOT website for alternatives.
With three long runways and an estimated 4.2 million passengers a year, Ohaha Eppley Airfield is served by any major major U.S. airlines and their affiliates, offering nonstop flights to a host of US cities with connections around the world.
The two-level passenger terminal at Omaha Eppley Airfield is divided into a Central, North & South Terminal on both levels, with Concourse A (the South Terminal) and Concourse B (North Terminal) being on Level 2. (For detailed terminal information, click on 'Terminal Map'.)
Parking options at Providence Green Airport include short-term Lot D, Garages A, B & C, and economy lot E. (For detailed parking information, click on 'Airport Parking'.)
Rental car counters at OMA Airport are near Door 3 of the passenger terminal, and ready car spaces are on the first level of the Surface Parking structure (north of the multi-level parking garage), accessible by covered walkway across from Door 5.
