Falls INL Airport Overview

Falls Airport INL serves the residents of northern Minnesota and northwestern Ontario, including the cities of Littlefork, Big Falls, Ranier, Ash River, Kabetogama, Baudette, Warroad, Fort Frances, Rainy River and Aitikokan, Emo and Kenora. INL is also used for private, general aviation purposes. It  is a desginated international port off entry to the U.S., with U.S. Customs services. The Airport is located in International Falls, Koochiching County, Minnesota and near the U.S./Canada border and serves as U.S. Port of Entry. International Falls is known as the “Icebox of the Nation" - you need a jacket even in the summer months. 

Even though the Airport is mostly used for general aviation, SkyWest (800-283-2002)  provides nonstop jet services to Minneapolis/St. Paul.  For flight schedules, arrivals and departures, ticket info, baggage, call 218-283-4630.

The present passenger terminal at Falls Airport offers free internet service and has rental car counters and U.S. Port of Entry.  The terminal has been considered to be replaced by a new terminal.  It is not clear whether construction has actually begun.

Parking options at Falls Airport: Parking  is free and is available for short- and long-term parking in the main parking lot close to the terminal, with an overflow area closeby.

To get from Falls Airport to your destination you can rent a car (Avis, Ford & National), or take a taxi.
