    International Falls (INL) Airport is located in International Falls, Minn., near the U.S. – Canada border. International Falls is known as the “Icebox of the Nation,” so remember to bring your jacket even in the summer months. It is located 295 miles north of the Twin Cities in the Rainy Lake area. The Rainy Lake area includes Voyageurs National Park, which is Minnesota’s only national park. It is a very small airport that is connected to Minneapolis/St. Paul by Mesaba Airlines, a regional jet affiliate of Northwest Airlines. INL airport is also used for private, general aviation purposes.
