Spokane International Airport SFF is located 5 miles west of downtown Spokane, in Spokane County, State of Washington, and is the primary airport for Spokane, Eastern Washington, Coeur d'Alene, and North Idaho, as well as the State's second-largest airport. It is situated  off Interstate Hwy. 90: If you come from the East, take I-90 to Exit 277 (US 2 West to Airport Exit), or from the West, take I-90 to Exit 276 (Spotted Road). As part of its long-time capital improvement plan, Spokane Interational has already torn down the old control tower and replaced it with a new one at a different site. Other recently concluded projects were improvements to the Terminal and Rotunda, as well as the Concourse C Enhancement Project, which added retail space and expanded the security checkpoints in the airport's three concourses. A third runway, among other improvements, is also planned for the future. The Renovation Project is currently completing Phase II, and all project phases should be completed by 2013.
