  • FLR Airport Overview
    AdF Aeroporto di Firenze, also known as Amerigo Vespucci Airport FLR, is located near the famed City of Florence, Italy, which is situated on the Arno River and at the Mugello foothills--in the Tuscany area. In 2008 the Airport handled an astounding two million passengers.

    The Airport, which is operated by AdF S.p.A., opened in 1984 and is presently undergoing extensive renovations which may carry over into 2010.

    Even though the Airport's airline business is derived to a great part from domestic travel, its airlines offer convenient connections to destinations around the world. And of course, a good part of air traffic at AdF comes from charter flights.

    Needless to say, Florence Airport will always be in demand by international tourists who appreciate the beauty of its City, its history and art.
