Florence Amerigo Vespucci FLR Airport Overview

Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport FLR (also referred to as 'Peretola Airport'), serves the famed  Italian city of Florence and the beautiful area of Tuscany, and will always be in demand by international tourists who appreciate the beauty of the City, its history and its art.

The small Airport is located 4 km northwest of Florence, which is situated on the Arno River and at the Mugello foothills. The Airport  can be accessed by motorways A1 & A11 (Firenze Nord/Firenze Mare), or from Firenze by Viale Guidoni.

With one runway and an estimated 2.2 million passengers in 2012, Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport is served by a number of scheduled national, international and low-cost airlinesoffering direct and connecting flights to all points of the globe, as well as by seasonal charter flights.

The passenger terminal at Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport consists of two buildings under one roof, one for arrivals, the other for departures. Renovation & extension of the terminal was completed in 2012, adding a total of 6,000 sqm of space and accommodating up to 2.4 million passengers per annum. The check-in hall now has 40 check-in desks, and the new baggage handling system can handle more than 1,500 bags an hour.  The Arrivals Hall, as well as operational areas were also extended. Security checks were incread from 3 to 5, and boarding gates from 6 to 10. There are now three baggage conveyors and 23 check-in desks.

Amenities and Services inside the Termial:  The Masaccio Lounge offers computer, printer and internet access; as well as other amenities, and is accessible by presenting your boarding pass.  The ground floor offers two cafes, and a number shops and duty-free are located in the pre- and post-security areas.
Rental car counters are in the Arrivals terminal.

Parking options at Florence Airport: The Short-stay car park with the first 20 mins free, is in front of the passenger terminal, and the long-stay parking lot is right behind it. 
You can pay at the cashier's desk 24/7.

To get from Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport to your destination, you can rent a car, take a taxi, or a bus: CITA buses depart from the airport to Autostazione CITA in the City 6am to 11:0pm, every half hour (tel. 800-424500).
