Baggage carts are available for rental at a cost of $3.00. There is a $.25 refund on all carts returned to a cart stand location. Most Smarte Carte locations accept major credit cards.

US CUSTOMS & BORDER PROTECTION (Formerly U.S. Customs & Immigration) - If you're traveling abroad and returning to the United States or visiting the Fort Lauderdale from a foreign country, you must adhere to U.S. Customs & Border Protection procedures.
Customs Procedures:
* Flight attendants will distribute Customs Declaration forms on board the aircraft. Only one form is required per family. * Passengers must have permits to bring fruit, vegetables, plants, meats, birds, exotic animals, etc. into United States. These permits must be issued prior to entering the country. * U.S. residents receive a duty-free exemption of $400 ($600 if returning from a Caribbean-basin country). Non-residents receive a duty-free exemption of $100. * All passengers must declare currency or monetary instruments in excess of $10,000 U.S.
Immigration Procedures
* Flight attendants will distribute an Immigration Arrival/Departure record form on board the aircraft. * Every non-U.S. citizen except permanent residents in possession of a Green Card or Canadian citizens must complete an Immigration Arrival/Departure form. * Visitors with Visas fill out the white Immigration forms. Visitors without Visas fill out green Visa-waiver forms.

Travelers Reminded of New Document Requirements: The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the U.S. Department of State (DOS) remind the traveling public that as of Jan. 31, 2008, all adult travelers will be required to present proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate, and proof of identity, such as a driver’s license, when entering the United States through land and sea ports of entry. DHS will be issuing a notice in the Federal Register formally announcing the change.
