We're flying to FLL from Baltimore for a connecting flight to Bahamas with two checked bags in May. One flight options gives us about two hours and the other about 50 min lay over. Is 50 mins enough time ? -and do we have to get our checked bags and re check them in ? Flying southwest both flights. And lastly do we have to go though another security check ? TIA
Either works. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Jet Blue flight from Aruba to FLL scheduled to land at 6:08 pm, and then try to make a connecting flight on Southwest that departs at 8:15, so different terminals. Checked bag. Is that enough time? Will Global Entry or TSA Precheck help?
You pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Aruba, so all you have to do in FLL is claim your bags from JetBlue, take them to Terminal 1, re-check with Southwest and go through security. You should have enough time.
1) I am flying from Detroit to FLL then FLL to Montego Bay. It will be a Sunday morning, and I have a 3.5 hour layover in FLL. There aren't any longer layover options in FLL for this trip. I believe we are going to try to just do carry-on and avoid checked bags. Based on experiences, enough time?
2) On the way home we have a 2.5 hour layover in FLL, even shorter which worries me more. We can't do overnight due to work hours. I understand that Spirit has awful on-time rates. However, I was curious if this would be enough time? There will be two adults (myself and girlfriend, both with passports, and limited electronics (2 cellphones)).
That should be plenty of time on the way down and enough time on the way back if the flight is anywhere near on-time.
Hello, Im travelling from Dubai to Lima via FLL and I would like to know if I will have to claims my bags when arriving at the airport and then check them for the Jet Blue flight (I will arrive on Emirates). I believe my bags will be tag to final destination. Thanks
Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the JetBlue check-in desk, then go through security and to your departure gate.
