Hi, I am flying from Bogota to JFK through FLL, with both flights on Spirit airlines. I have a 90 minute window to make the connection. Will I make it? Do I have to receive my bag and check it in again, or will the luggage situation be connected because it's the same airline?
Spirit Airlines does not fly to JFK. Please double check your reservation. You will have to claim your bags in Ft. Lauderdale to take them through US Customs.
i meant LGA! oops
In that case you have just enough time. As I mentioned before you will have to claim your bags in Ft. Lauderdale to take them through US Customs.
thanks ZAP!
I am looking to book a flight from London to Dallas connecting via Fort Lauderdale. The option I am looking at gives me 1h 25m between my connecting flights. The flight will be booked through British Airways so will I need to pick up my bag for immigration and will I have enough time to get through?

Many thanks in advance.
That's a pretty difficult and somewhat risky connection. yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags with American, go through security and to your departure gate.
Flying I'm from havana to fll and fll to Montego bay. Land at 1020 and flight leaves at 1205. Can I make it through customs in time with global entry?
With Global Entry I think you can make it.
I have 1 hour to get from terminal 2 to terminal 1. I am coming from RDU. If everything is on time and I don't check luggage is this enough time and do I have to go through security again?
What airline are you flying out on? You will have to go through security again.
I am traveling from Copenhagen to FLL, I arrive at 9:45 pm, and my connecting flight to San Pedro Sula is at 12:00 am. So I have 2 hours and 15 minutes to make it to my connecting flight. Is that enough time? I am not a US citizen and I do not have checked bags. TIA
That is just enough time if everything goes perfectly.
We're flying into FLL from BWI, heading to NAS. Is 1 hour enough time to transfer in between gates both outbound and return?
If both flights are on the same airline and reservation, yes, that is enough time. On the return you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Nassau.
We are flying from Nassau to northeast us and connecting through ft launderdale. We just cleared us customs and immigration in Nassau and we're told we would not have to get our bags again (staying on southwest airline) in FLL. Question: will we have to go through security in FLL or will we stay within gate areas?
You just have to walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Hello ZAP,
I will come from Dubai at FLL by emirates & connecting flight for Nashville after 3 hours by Jet Blue Airlines, so is it enough time for Immigration, Security & Checked bags again?
Yes, that should be enough time.
Thanks ZAP
I am landing in Ft lauderdale at 4:40 pm on bahamair. My next flight is southwest at 6:55 pm. will I have enough time with checked bags to make it?
You will have to claim your bags from BahamasAir and re-check them with Southwest and go through security. You have just enough time if the BahamasAir flight is on-time and everything goes perfectly. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in the Bahamas.
I am going to travel by an emirate flight that will arrive at Terminal 4 and I then I'll have a connecting flight on Jet Blue that departs from terminal 3. Can I re-check my bags for the Jet Blue flight in the Emirates counter at terminal 4? Also, can I go from terminal 4 to 3 by walk?
You have to re-check your bags at the Jetblue counter. You can walk from 4 to 3.
