  • Enough time

There seems to be many comments about making connecting flights. Like everyone else I am worried that a 55 minute connection between spirit flights is not enough. Will I need to go through customs if my first flight is domestic (ie NY to FLL)? Is that enough time if both flights are within the same terminal? Thanks for the help.

No, you do not go through US customs when leaving the US. If both flights are on spirit and your first flight is on-time you should have plenty of time.

How much time do I need to get from terminal 3 to terminal one ith only carry on

I'd want at least 90 minutes, but it's doable in an hour. However, that leaves very little buffer for delays.

I have a connecting flight flying in from boston landing at 10:04 jetblue and connecting to San Jose Costa Rica at 10:30 jetblue. Jetblue had me buy both of the flights together thinking id have enough time but I'm nervous upon reading boston is usually in terminal 3 E and jetblue costa rice is terminal 3 F. Will I have to go through security again? Will this be enough time? Thanks

If you have checked baggage you will claim your baggage after you go through US Immigration, then go through US Customs. Then you should put the liquor into your checked bag and re-check it with AA., Then you will take the ATS train to T3 and go through security and to your departure gate.

  • 1hr 5mins enough to connect from terminal 3 to 1?

Hi There. Arriving on a Saturday at 1235 in terminal 3 on American Airlines and transferring to terminal 1 on Silver airways flight leaves at 140pm. Is 1hr 5 mins enough time to make the connection? We have no checked baggage and will print boarding passes ahead of time.

If your first flight is on-time you will have enough time but you will have to hurry. T1 and T3 are not close to each other.

  • Connecting between United Airlines and US Airways

I'm arriving at FLL Terminal 1 on United Airlines and departing on US Airways from Terminal 3 for an domestic flight to Philadelphia. Is 3 hours enough time to make the connection if we have checked baggage that we have to check out from UA and then check in again with US Airways?

Yes, that should be enough time. It's a bit of a walk but FLL isn't a huge airport.

  • Connecting between Southwest and Spirit

I'm arriving at FLL Terminal 1 on Southwest and departing on Spirit from Terminal 4 for an international flight to San Salvadore, Bahamas. Is 1:50 enough time to make the connection if I only have carry-on? What if I have a checked bag?

Yes, it's definitely doable with only carry ons (note however that Spirit has a carry-on fee if you need to use the overhead bin). It would be tough with checked bags as you'd have to transfer them yourselves and get to Spirit's desk before their check-in cut-off.

  • RCC to T2

Hello, I'm french and not usual with international airports... So, I'll need to return my rental car at the RCC and then to take the shuttle to terminal2. Are the shuttles easy to find ? And when I'll exit the shuttle at the T2 stop, is clearly indicated to find the delta check-in counters and then my departure gate ? Thank you, Florent.

Yes, everything is clearly marked in the Rental Car Center with how to get to the shuttle. T2 will be the first stop. Delta is pretty much the only airline in Terminal 2. It's a very simple layout.

Do I have enough time if my Spirit flight lands at 8:42 pm to connect to JetBlue flight that departs at 10:10 pm? I just have my purse

Without bags, yes, you should be fine if your Spirit flight is on-time, but Spirit isn't exactly known for being on-time, especially late in the evening.

Yes you have enough time. Spirit arrives at Terminal 4, while JetBlue departs at Terminal 3 - use the shuttle bus outside the lower level of the terminals. At T3 you need to go through security check before proceeding to your connecting gate.

You can probably walk from T4 to T3 faster than taking the shuttle bus.

  • walk from Terminal 3 to rental car garage?

Is it not too far to walk from Terminal 3 to rental car garage? They make it kind of easy to pass through parking garages, yes?

It's not as close as it looks and the route isn't really built for walking. I'd take the shuttle. If you really want to walk, the easiest way is probably actually to walk around the curbfront to T1 and then across to the rental car center.

Do I have enough time if my Spirit flight (Terminal 4) lands at 9:27am to connect to a Silver Airlines flight that departs at 10:25am (Terminal 1) on a Friday morning. No checked bags. I'll be the 1st off the spirit flight as well.

Maybe, if you run. And make sure to check in online for your Silver Airways flight before you leave too - https://checkin.gosilver.com/3MWebCheckIn/WebCheckIn.html#Language=en_US I, personally, wouldn't try it.

Forget going here first thing when they open. Use the self-serve counter about 50 feet away.

  • Delta to Silver connection

I am flying Delta into FLL at 1040 and then flying Silver Airways to ELH at 1155- will Delta transfer bags for me and is this enough time for this to work? thx!

If your tickets were bought on the same reservation, yes, they will transfer your bags as Delta and Silver have an interline agreement. You will have to hurry between terminals but you should have enough time.

  • Terminal 4 to 3.

Hi. I will be arriving on an intl. flight on Spirit at 5:30 am. I have a connecting flight on US Airways at 6:30am. Does this give me enough time to make the connection? Is it easy to get from terminal 4 to 3? Thanks!

Unless your Spirit flight is early (which they rarely are) you'll have a very tough time making this connection, especially if you have checked baggage. You can walk from T4 to T3 outside security. However, by the time you get to T3, you will have likely missed the baggage cutoff. Also, if you have any chance of making it you'll have to check-in for your US Airways flight online before you leave on your Spirit flight. Again, by the time you arrive in T3 you will be too late to check-in.

Thanks so much for this! I won't have any checked luggage with me. Would that still be enough time for me to go through immigration and then security again? I would make sure I checked into my US Airways flight online prior to the trip. Thanks for your advice.

That will help. It will be very tight. I think you'll be able to make it if your Spirit flight is on-time then. You might want to pay for a seat assignment up front on your Spirit flight so you can get to immigration and through faster. Also, note that Spirit charges for overhead bin bags, so be prepared to pay for that.
